Letting go of control.
A Reiki infused meditation.
Sometimes life can feel like we're constantly trying to steer everything in the right direction.
Holding on tightly to outcomes,
Trying to control situations,
Or worrying about the future.
It can leave us feeling drained and tense.
Like we're always fighting an uphill battle.
But there is a beautiful freedom that comes from letting go.
Trusting that things will unfold as they're meant to.
This Reiki infused meditation is about surrendering that need for control and inviting in peace,
Flow,
And trust.
It's a reminder that sometimes the best thing we can do is to release,
To breathe,
And let life carry us where we need to go.
So start by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie down today.
And let your body relax into the surface beneath you.
Close your eyes and go ahead and take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs completely and fully.
And as you exhale,
Just let go of tightness,
Any tension,
Any need to hold on.
Allow yourself to soften into this moment today.
Now visualize a soft blue light like the color of the sky on a calm clear day gently surrounding you.
This blue light represents peace and ease.
With each inhale,
See yourself breathing in this peaceful energy.
As you exhale,
Release any feelings of worry,
Stress,
Or the need to control yourself.
Let go of all things around you.
Picture those thoughts and feelings floating away like the clouds,
Leaving your mind clear and open.
Invite Reiki energy to flow through you now.
Imagine and see this energy as a warm breeze carrying away anything that feels heavy or forced.
Allow the energy to wash over you completely,
Helping you release the tight grip you might be holding on life's steering wheel.
Trust that in this moment you don't need to manage or control anything.
Simply allow yourself to be present here now.
As you breathe in,
Silently say to yourself,
I trust the flow of life.
As you breathe out,
Say,
I release my need for control.
Continue this gentle rhythm,
Feeling lighter and more at ease with each breath.
Notice any tension in your body,
Perhaps in your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Or your chest.
And allow the Reiki energy to gently loosen those areas,
Inviting relaxation.
If your mind starts to wander or you find yourself wanting to control the outcome of the meditation,
Simply bring your focus back to your breath.
Simply bring your focus back to your breath.
Just really allow the calming blue light around you.
There is no need to do anything else right now.
Just breathe,
Release,
And trust.
When you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to your body,
Feeling the ground beneath you,
Knowing that you are supported.
Slowly open your eyes,
Taking your time to come back to the room.
As you move through the rest of your day today,
Go ahead and carry the sense of trust and ease with you.
Remember,
You do not have to control everything.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is let go and allow life to flow as it will.
