It is profoundly important that we understand ourselves. Reflecting on what we believe and why we hold those beliefs are fundamental questions we should ponder. Our beliefs form the foundation of our thoughts, words, and actions. To deepen our self-awareness, it’s essential to explore our beliefs and what we perceive as our truth.

When was the last time you took the time to think about what do you believe and why do you believe it?

Where did the information come from?

Was it from a book or a newspaper?

Perhaps it was someone famous on social media.

Or a news anchor.

Or news from a neighbor.

What do you believe and why do you believe it are two so important questions to ask ourselves.

It's within this questioning of ourselves that we get to understand ourselves more.

By living consciously aware of our beliefs.

Because our beliefs affect our perception and perspective.

Our beliefs,

Our relative truth,

Becomes fact for others.

And perhaps we put onto others our beliefs as objective truth as it being scientifically matter of fact that a square does not have round edges,

Objective truth,

Versus something else.

It's important for us to take the time now.

Because now is the only moment you have to think about what is it I believe and why do I believe it.

So I ask you now to get into a comfortable position and breathe.

If you have any specific kind of breath,

Please do so now.

With closing your eyes and going within,

I want you to think about what are some beliefs you have?

What are some fundamental beliefs you have?

If you need to pause the recorder now,

Please do so.

And what are some beliefs that you have?

And what are some of your beliefs that you put onto other people as it's truth versus your truth?

What is your truth?

What is your relative truth through your lens,

Through your eyes,

Through your perspective?

And now I want you to think about some of the beliefs that have come up.

Why do you believe them?

Is it from the news?

Is it from social media?

Is it from a neighbor or a friend?

And why do you believe what you believe?

Are we giving away our power by believing what someone else says versus taking the time to go within and asking ourselves,

Why do I believe what I believe?

And taking a deep breath or just breathing.

Not judging yourself.

Just observe yourself.

It's okay.

Honor what you believe,

But know that it's your belief.

Perhaps it's not the person next to you or someone in a room or on the phone or at work.

Honor what you believe,

But know it's your belief.

It doesn't need to be someone else's.

Honor what you believe as your own.

Go within.

Seek within the answers.

When you think about what you believe,

How does it make you feel?

Do you feel at peace?

Do you feel confident?

Does it bring you joy?

Does it make you feel like it is your truth?

It's up to you to think about what you believe.

But you,

What you believe,

Does not need to be what someone else believes.

Love yourself enough to trust yourself in your belief.

Because there's not many objective truths.

Most of our truths are relative truths.

Thank you.
