BREATH AWARENESS PRACTICE 2: In this practice you become aware of the sensations in your nose, nostrils and throat when breathing. This brings focus and a deep inner calm in a short amount of time. The ancient Yogis were obsessed with this first entry point of air - when air becomes breath. Experience for yourself why... If you are interested in improving breathing habits and using your Breath to relax, de-stress, and find more mindfulness in your daily life, the first step is Breath awareness. You can only change something you are aware of. And since breathing happens mostly automatically and unconsciously, it is vital to explore and observe your breath. This practice is an essential breath awareness practice, as you start your breathwork journey.

Transcript

Find stillness in your body and guide your attention to your breath.

Notice the air flowing into your nostrils as you breathe in and notice the air flowing out of your nostrils as you breathe out.

Bring all of your awareness into your nostrils,

Observing the inflowing air and the air flowing out.

Can you observe the first moment when the air enters the nostrils?

This first point of awareness where air becomes your breath and as you breathe out see if you can stay with the breath until it flows out and becomes air again.

Where is that last point of awareness where you can still feel and sense your breath leaving your nostril?

Can you feel the touch of the air at the beginning of your nostril as you breathe in?

And can you feel the touch of air as you breathe out the last point of your nose and your nostrils?

Broaden your awareness then and follow the breath as it flows in from that first point of awareness in through the nose back and down into your throat just following the breath as it flows in and out becoming aware of that whole journey the breath takes from that first point of contact first point of awareness in your nostrils until it flows out from your throat into your nose your nostrils to that last point of awareness take two more breaths with this awareness with this awareness and then just become aware of how you are feeling right now how does your body feel relax into this feeling notice become aware and take this calm quiet state with you into the rest of the day
