How can you journal your truth when doubt, fear, or old stories try to write it for you? This guided meditation is an invitation to return to your own voice and trust the story you were meant to tell. Through gentle breathwork, affirmations, and reflective stillness, you’ll soften into self-trust, reclamation and honor your lived experience — one breath, one word at a time.

Welcome to today's guided meditation on trusting the story you were meant to tell.

Believing in yourself to be the narrator in your own life and writing it down with certainty is a radical act of self-love.

My name is Destiny and I am your guide for today.

Whatever your story might be,

Whatever journey led you here,

I'd like to remind you that it matters so deeply to be written.

Unease and discomfort may arise at the thought of the permanency that cementing your truths on paper can bring.

Once it has been written,

The experience no longer lives only in your head.

This meditation is a gentle guide back into your own voice and reclaiming the stories you were told with the story you were meant to tell.

You'll be experiencing guided breathwork,

Affirmations,

And space to sit with what may come up.

I invite you the choice to gently close your eyes or lower them to a gaze,

Trusting yourself to choose whatever feels right for you in this moment.

Just taking a few moments to be here in the now,

Ensuring that our body is in an accepting position by either sitting upright with our spine aligned or by lying down and facing up.

Relaxing your jaw and fully bringing your body at ease,

Hands unclenched and soft.

Right now,

Just slowly bringing your attention to the gentle rising and falling of your breath,

Not changing anything at all.

Just noticing your ribs expanding with each inhale and contracting back home with every exhale.

At this time,

I invite you to join me in breath,

Knowing that your breath can always be your anchor if you wish.

We'll take one deep breath in through the nose,

Hold,

And a gentle exhale through the mouth.

One more time,

Deeply breathing in through the nose,

Hold,

And another gentle exhale through the mouth,

Releasing all the air in your lungs.

Final time,

Breathing in through the nose,

Hold,

And with as much force as you can,

Pushing it all out through the mouth.

And now back to your normal breath,

Rhythm,

Pattern,

Taking a moment to acknowledge that though our breaths were taken together,

It was your act of receiving that allowed the breath to travel throughout your body.

It was your willingness to be free that allowed your body to be at ease.

And it was your self-determination that stayed steady.

That same autonomy lives within you each and every day,

With every breath you take,

Knowing that you can trust yourself to lead the way.

And the same way you trust your own breath to bring life into you is the same way you will trust your own words,

Your own journey,

Knowing that there may have been stories told to us of who we are,

Why we are here,

And what we've experienced.

Knowing that we have permission to write down our truths because they are ours.

As you sit or lay here,

I invite you to own the following affirmations.

These are for you to repeat,

Embody,

And keep as we continue this journey of self-trust.

Feel free to say them aloud or silently in your head.

You may even place your hand over your heart and gently press down after repeating them as a way to seal them within.

I trust myself to write my story as it is.

I know my story is worthy to be written.

I do not seek permission to write my truth.

Again,

I trust myself to write my story as it is.

I know my story is worthy to be written.

I do not seek permission to write my truth.

At this time,

I invite you to sit with this knowing if it feels safe to do so or repeating your own set of truths and affirmations you'd like to keep.

Now,

If your mind has wandered or is drifting away,

Know that this is a moment and opportunity to come back to your breath and celebrate yourself for doing so,

For coming home to yourself.

Taking this time to again be here,

Not scripting the truths you will write,

But simply knowing that you can and you will.

As we begin to close out today's meditation,

If it feels right,

I invite you to embrace yourself by a gentle hug as we seal these affirmations to ourselves once more,

Truly believing in the weight that they hold,

Feeling free to glide your hands up and down your arms with a firm and loving squeeze,

Knowing that these affirmations are more than just words.

They are a promise,

A declaration,

And a truth for what we will embody for all of our days to come as we continue on this journey of journaling.

I trust myself to write my story as it is.

I know my story is worthy to be written.

I do not seek permission to write my truth.

Now,

When you are ready,

Inviting you to gently open your eyes to the world around you,

Knowing that it is a world of your words waiting to be written,

A world you have the power to write in,

And a world you have permission to take up space.

I thank you for joining me today and for being all that you are,

Knowing that that in itself is always more than enough.

Until next time,

Take care and breathe easy.
