This meditation is a sacred journey designed for black women who are ready to come home to themselves.
This is for the women,
The daughters,
The mothers,
The sisters,
The womb holders who are tired of carrying what's not theirs.
It's for the women seeking softness in her power and sovereignty in her healing.
For the daughters of resilience,
Rhythm,
And light.
This meditation will focus on the power of frequency,
Breath,
And word.
Carrying you deep into the essence of your being as it calls forth the memory stored in the blood,
In the womb,
And in the breath.
Begin by sitting or lying in a comfortable position.
And begin to relax your body and your mind as you give yourself this sacred time in this sacred space.
Begin to breathe in through the nostrils and breathe out through the mouth as you sink deeper into your seat or into your bed.
As you breathe in and breathe out,
Let the air stretch your spirit wide.
Recognizing you are safe,
You are home,
And you are sacred.
Continue to take a few breaths in and breathing out at a normal pace and a normal rhythm.
No need to force,
Just simply begin to sink into your body,
Letting the air stretch your spirit wide.
With each inhale,
Know that you are safe,
You are protected,
And you are home.
Place one hand over your womb and another hand over your heart.
As you breathe in and out,
Begin to feel the pulse between your womb and your heart.
That rhythm is your remembrance.
Continue to breathe in and breathe out,
Stretching your spirit wider and wider,
Feeling the rhythm of your womb and your heart.
Tapping into your remembrance as you relax any tension in your body,
Knowing that you are safe,
You are protected,
And you are sacred.
Sit in this space,
Continuing to breathe in and out,
Feeling the rhythm and the pulse between your womb and your heart for a few more minutes.
As you're breathing in,
Stretching your spirit wider and wider,
Breathing out,
Falling deeper into yourself,
Breathing at a pace that is comfortable for you.
There's no rush and no force.
If thoughts arise at this time,
Simply notice them and let them pass.
This is your sacred space.
You are safe and you are protected.
Feel free to let go,
Sinking deeper into yourself.
Feel the rhythm and the pulse between your hand and your womb,
Feeling the rhythm of your remembrance and saying to yourself,
I am safe,
I am home,
And I am sacred.
You are not lost.
You are simply remembering with the weight of the world that forgot your divinity.
But right now,
Here in this breath,
Is your remembrance and your return to who you are and who you've always been.
Your return to knowing what lives in your DNA,
In your blood,
From those that came before you and paved the way.
That memory lives within you.
Your knowing does not need permission.
You are the first altar,
The first drumbeat,
And the first cry of creation.
You are not becoming.
You are unveiling.
Continue to breathe in,
Stretching your spirit wider and wider,
Feeling the pulse and the sacred rhythm between your womb and your heart.
Connecting with the rhythm of your remembrance.
You are the altar,
Returning to the knowing that lives in your blood.
Remember who you are and who you've always been.
You are sacred.
Let this truth settle into your bones.
You are the dream of your grandmothers,
Of your great-grandmothers,
And her mother too.
You are the bridge between those that came before and those that come after through your womb.
You are sacred.
You are powerful.
You are the bridge between the roots and the stars.
Feel that rhythm of your breath between your heart and your womb as you connect to your deeper,
Higher self.
Connecting with your bloodline lineage that came before you.
Your knowing does not need permission.
It does not need to be understood by others.
It's your remembrance,
And it's sacred and unique for you.
You have gifts and abilities stored in your DNA,
In your blood,
In the roots of who you are.
With each breath,
Journey deeper into yourself.
Any thoughts that come up,
Simply notice them and let them pass by.
Continue to feel that rhythm and stay connected to your breath.
Your breath is the return to the knowing that lives in your blood.
Let this truth settle into your bones.
Feeling fully whole.
Feeling sacred.
When you are ready,
Repeat after me.
I am the daughter of women who could not be broken.
I am the voice of the ones who hummed freedom into our skin.
I am sacred even when silent,
And I am powerful even when still.
Feel the vibration and the rhythm of your breath between your heart and your womb as you reconnect to your divinity.
Repeat after me.
My womb is not just a place of creation.
It is a temple of remembering.
Every breath I take is a song to the Divine Mother.
Every breath I take is a hymn to my healing.
As you inhale deeply,
Feeling your spirit continue to stretch wider and wider,
And exhaling as you connect with that rhythm between your heart and your womb.
This is your sacred remembrance of how powerful you are.
Of how sacred you are.
Of how divine you are.
Of how powerful you are.
Remembering.
My womb is not just a place of creation.
It is a temple of remembering.
Every breath I take is a song to the Divine Mothers that come before me.
And every breath I take is a hymn to my healing.
I am returning.
I am healing.
I am rising.
I am the prayer.
Continue to breathe in and out and let this truth settle into your bones.
Knowing you are the dream of your grandmothers,
Their mothers,
And the mothers that came before.
Notice any sensations in your body at this time.
And any thoughts that come up for you.
Allow yourself to just be.
You are not lost.
You are remembering.
With the weight of the world that forgot your divinity,
In each breath,
You're reconnecting.
Activating the codes in your DNA.
And this knowing does not need permission.
You are the daughter of women who could not be broken.
You are the voice of the ones who hummed freedom into our skin.
You are sacred even when silent.
And you are powerful even when still.
I am enough.
I am strong.
And I am soft.
I am powerful.
And I am sacred.
Continue to connect with that rhythm between your heart and your womb.
Feeling as with each breath,
Your spirit expands as you return to the remembrance of who you are and who you've always been.
And at this time,
Repeat after me,
I release what is not mine.
I reclaim what was never lost.
I walk as light in a body kissed by the sun.
I walk as truth in a world that tried to forget me.
Continue to breathe and allow these words to settle into your spirit,
Into your mind,
Into your heart,
And into your womb.
Feel that rhythm between your heart and your womb.
Now that you have your remembrance,
Now that you're connected to your sacred self,
Your divine self,
Begin to journey back.
Reconnecting with your breath.
Feeling that pulse and that rhythm between your heart and your womb.
Let your breath hold you.
You don't need to hold anything.
You already are everything.
Let this silence bless you.
And when you are ready,
Begin to gently wiggle your toes and your fingers.
Reconnecting with your physical body.
And you can begin to stretch or move in any way that feels comfortable for you.
Allowing yourself to feel comfortable to do what's necessary for you.
You can either sit up at this time,
Or you can continue to stay seated or laying down as you integrate this new energy and frequency into you.
This new remembrance.
This new reclamation of your sovereignty.
It's always been there.
And remember,
You can come back to this place at any time.
Thank yourself.
Thank your ancestors.
And I thank you for allowing me to hold this sacred space for your remembrance.
Thank you.
