Welcome to this waning moon meditation for rest and renewal.

Let yourself arrive in this space and acknowledge all that your body's done to get here.

All the work it has done up until this moment and allow it to take its time to readjust to being still.

The moon is waning now.

Her light is soft and receding.

She asks us to do the same.

So let your shoulders drop and let your breath deepen.

This is a time for pulling back for letting your energy gather inward.

There is wisdom in the pause.

There is magic in the rest.

Picture yourself wrapped in moonlight.

Not the brilliant light of the full moon but the gentle glow of a moon in retreat.

You are safe here.

You are allowed to slow down.

Let go of any pressure to produce or perform.

Simply ask yourself,

What part of me is ready to rest?

Breathe into that part.

Hold it softly.

Let yourself empty out.

Let the silence soothe you.

You might whisper,

I surrender to the cycle.

I allow myself to rest.

I will return when I'm ready.

Let your breath carry you inward for just a little longer.

And when you're ready,

Begin to return.
