Sometimes, grief just wants to be witnessed. In this quiet, vulnerable offering, I speak to the ache of longing for someone to carry the weight—even just for a moment—and the deep need for presence in our hardest hours.

If someone sat across from me right now,

I think I'd want them to ask me if I needed help and to not take no for an answer.

Sometimes you need someone to carry your baggage for you just for a little while,

Walk with you,

Listen,

Take it from your hand for a minute,

Just let you know you're not alone.

I might allow myself to unload just a little bit if someone sat across from me right now.
