A visualization in reverence to water,
I invite you to close your eyes down just for a few minutes to bring your awareness inward.
Allow your awareness to search in your body for the flow of water.
You might find it within your breath.
You might find it in the inhale and the exhale of your breath or you might find it in your pulse.
The pulse,
The blood moving,
Circulating in your body.
Or you may find it in an area of swelling.
Search your body for the flow of water.
You might find it in the energetic chakras,
Up and down the spine or in circular movements at one chakra.
Scanning your body for that feeling of flow within you and allowing your awareness to surf that flow.
Noticing,
Just being aware of the pattern of that flow,
The curves,
The turns.
Allow yourself to be curious about,
Where in my body do I feel the natural flow of water?
Though it may be energetic,
It may be breathing.
Maybe you feel a circular pulse of water within your lower chakras.
Closing your eyes down and bringing your awareness in.
Allowing it to begin to get curious with any sensations you're feeling in your body.
It may be sensations of pain or ache or freedom or temperature,
Movement.
Whatever sensations you feel are happening in your body that your awareness moves toward.
Go ahead and allow it to get curious for a minute.
Your awareness,
Like a curious child.
What's this?
What is this?
What is this?
No judgment,
Just curiosity.
You might allow your awareness to shift from one area of your body to another.
If there's another place that calls.
Just getting curious like that six or seven year old child inside.
Allowing your awareness to settle gently on the breath.
Just noticing your breath.
Noticing your inhale and your exhale.
Noticing how your breath breathes your body.
Allowing your breath to breathe you.
Just noticing.
No need to change anything.
Inviting your awareness just moving from the top of your head all the way down.
Your spine moving down the back of the head.
The cervical spine,
The curves of the neck.
Upper spine.
Mid spine.
Lumbar spine.
All the way down to the tailbone.
Just noticing the river of your spine.
The curves,
The space,
The energy flow through your spine.
It is rather like a river.
Letting your awareness travel down your legs from your hips to your thighs.
Calves and shins.
Ankles.
All the way down to the bottoms of your feet.
Just inviting a bit of relaxation.
Invite you for a minute.
Allowing your curious child to stick around.
Imagine that your body was one hundred percent made of water.
That you were literally a body of water.
Can you imagine that?
Can you see it?
Can you feel it?
A landscape of water.
Can you hear it?
The sounds of water from your landscape of view.
Can you taste it and smell it?
Can you feel it?
Your body one hundred percent pure water.
Breathe into this.
Allow this little bit of imagining to open up for you.
Unpack it.
There's no right or wrong here.
Allow your imagination to grow.
Allow your curious child to have questions and curiosities.
Maybe you have an entire landscape of water but in different areas of your body it moves and others it's still.
Maybe you have a waterfall or ten in your body somewhere.
Or maybe you are just one beautiful waterfall.
Maybe you have little pools of water places with ripples across the surface.
Maybe some areas the water is very deep and others it's just a puddle like on a forest floor.
Allow your curious child to wander through this body of water of yours.
What kind of temperature is the water?
Maybe some areas it's boiling and other areas it's freezing.
Maybe there are areas that are ice and hard.
And other areas that are misty and gaseous.
Maybe in some areas of your body the water is suspended in the air.
Like pieces of you are floating away and yet they keep getting called back down to your body of water.
What does this look like?
What does this feel like?
How far can you imagine?
How curious can your child get?
Can you hear what it's like in this body of water?
Is it like you hear when you're underwater?
Can you hear the waves from the outside?
Or the drizzling rain?
Or the thunder of a downpour?
What do you hear?
Is there a flow in your body of water?
From one environment of water to another or maybe your whole body of water is one big flow.
Does it take a lot of curves and turns?
Does it come to a trickle anywhere?
And for a moment,
Zoom out just a little and see this body of water.
What is reflecting on its surface?
Is the surface still or maybe still in one area and not another?
Can you see the movement of water where it is?
Is there a distortion in the reflections?
I'm going to be quiet while you explore this body of water of yours.
Your body of water.
Allow your child to get curious.
There's no right question or wrong question here and there's no right answer or wrong answer.
Enjoy this time.
And slowly bringing your awareness back to this body that's a percentage of water.
Bringing your awareness back to your breath as we take a few deep breaths.
Inhaling through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
Inhaling through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
And one last time.
Inhaling through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
And one last time.
Inhaling through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
And one last time.
Inhaling through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
And one last time.
