I'd like you to get comfortable and allow yourself to do whatever you need to do So you're able to find yourself in a relaxing position When you're ready,
I'd like you to become aware of your breath And I'd like you to notice what you notice about that you can become aware of sensations and feelings As you continue to listen to my voice I wonder if you're able to allow a sense of relaxation wash over you As you allow yourself to let go of any tension,
Which may be lingering You might like to imagine your breath filling any spaces of tension and I wonder if you can let go in Whichever way is right for you as you exhale Sometimes it can take a little time Please just allow and be patient If your eyes aren't already closed,
I'd invite you to allow them to close gently If that is right for you You may be aware of sounds in this space and outside too Just allow those sounds to take you more fully into this beautiful relaxing state I'd like you to think about gratitude and What that means to and for you?
I Wonder if you can take yourself back in your imagination To a time when you last felt grateful for something It may have been a time when somebody showed you kindness or Perhaps when somebody gave you a gift or did a favor for you.
I'd like you to take a moment over this I'm curious if you're able to remember a time when you last felt grateful For the sound of the birdsong in the morning Grateful for being okay in this moment Grateful for the warmth of the sunshine Grateful for the way the stars twinkle in a clear night sky Being grateful for the things which perhaps are all too easy to overlook Grateful for the simple things in life Grateful for the essence of what is I'd like to invite you now to feel grateful for something that you wouldn't normally feel grateful for I'll just allow you a few moments to do that in whichever way is right for you.
I Wonder how that was for you Where did you feel that in your body?
And if you haven't been able to feel that yet,
That's okay You might allow yourself a bit more time to allow this to happen in the meantime Please be kind to yourself You might like to create that feeling in your imagination I'd like you to take your awareness fully into that feeling and notice what you notice about that Often that feeling can grow and expand in the light of your awareness When you're having an embodied experience of gratitude It changes your body chemistry More than just thinking about being grateful So I'd encourage you to think about that Feeling is the key I'd encourage you to develop a habit to pause during your day to reflect on that and cultivate a practice of gratitude Just a few moments here and there But all I ask is that you do it in such a way as it feels easy and effortless Please don't make it a chore If you're not finding it an effortless experience Just be with that experience be aware of it and Allow it to be in this moment and just allow ease to come into your practice and it will in time gentle intention towards ease and effortlessness It has been observed in studies that people who regularly practice feeling gratitude enjoy better health Have better and more nurturing relationships Make better decisions and are more likely to have serendipitous experiences generally You can have a richer experience of life You might like to consider keeping a gratitude journal A note down what you've been grateful for during a given day It's a worthwhile exercise at bedtime because your unconscious mind works in the background as you sleep and Gratitude feeds your unconscious and it works to allow you to create more and more of the best outcomes in your life But please don't take my word for it Give it a go There is minimal time or financial outlay You've got nothing to lose For journaling it is better to write rather than type There is something about the kinesthetic experience of writing with a pen or pencil Along with the visual input of seeing your own handwriting Which makes the experience tangible?
We'll bring this session to a close shortly But I'd just like to share one more quote from the great Rumi Gratitude is the wine for the soul Go on Get drunk Thank you for being here and taking the time to listen.
I Hope you've enjoyed listening to this as much as I enjoyed writing producing and sharing this with you It would be lovely to hear of your experiences of your practice of gratitude over time Please feel free to share It's always useful to learn of the good fortune of others It also helps to encourage other people,
Too So thank you in advance I'm also more than happy to answer any questions or queries,
Too Now I'd like you to take your awareness into the space you're in do what is right for you perhaps give yourself a bit of time to reflect and Moving gently and slowly at first,
But please feel free to do whatever is right for you so Thank you once again.
I Hope to see you soon take care and all the very best
