This short practice will help clear mental fog and move you into a state of energy and focus.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat,
Sitting upright with your spine tall and your shoulders relaxed.
We're going to do two rounds of Kapalabhati breathing,
Each for one minute.
This breath involves a strong,
Forceful exhale through the nose.
The inhale happens passively or reflexively.
Focus on the exhale only.
At the end of each round,
We'll exhale all the way out and take one deep breath in to reset before the next round.
So take a moment to prepare your posture,
Sit tall,
Relax your face and jaw,
And we'll take our first exhale in 5,
4,
3,
2,
1,
Begin.
You're about halfway there.
Keep on going.
I know it can feel like a workout for the core,
But just keep exhaling and letting that inhale happen passively and reflexively.
A few more exhales to go and then we'll exhale all the air out in 5,
4,
3,
2,
1,
Exhaling all the way and inhaling,
Filling all the way up and letting go.
Great job.
That's one round.
One more to go.
Starting our next round in 5,
4,
3,
2,
1,
Begin.
Again continuing to exhale.
You're halfway there.
And we'll exhale all the way out in 3,
2,
1,
Exhaling and fill all the way up.
Beautiful work.
Notice how you feel.
Notice the state of your mind,
The mental clarity.
And take a moment to thank yourself for doing this practice.
And thank you for joining me.
Carry this clarity with you into your day.
