In this meditation, you’re invited to explore the sacred process of symbolic death; the letting go of old identities, beliefs, and patterns that no longer serve you. Through guided breath and gentle awareness, you’ll meet the parts of yourself that are ready to die, allowing grief, release, and even space to move through you. This is not a meditation about endings, but about beginnings. It is about creating space for what is ready to grow in the soil of your becoming. As you soften into presence, you’ll discover that every death carries within it the quiet promise of new life.

Welcome.

My name is Lillian and today I am inviting you into a practice on the theme of death.

Not the physical death of the body,

But the symbolic death that we all experience many,

Many times in our lifetime.

This could be the death of an old version of yourself,

Of a mask or an identity,

Or maybe a belief that once protected you but no longer serves you.

You will be invited to turn towards what is ready to die inside,

To grieve it,

Honor it,

And let it go.

And then from that quiet space,

Feel that emptiness,

Feel that fertile soil where something new can be born.

So let's begin by arriving in our bodies.

If you feel called to,

You can close your eyes and feel the darkness that comes with it.

Taking a nice deep breath in and release.

And allow yourself to land just a little bit more.

You can begin to feel the surface beneath you as your body gets heavier.

Notice where in your body you're carrying a little tension and let your breath soften.

Soften your jaw,

Your chest,

Your belly.

And with every exhale,

We land just a little bit more.

You are now right at the edge of a portal.

Behind you,

All the versions of yourself that you've been.

And ahead is the unknown where you are becoming.

Take a moment and bring to mind a part of you that feels a little heavy.

Maybe it's a story you've carried or a belief of who you are.

A way of being that no longer fits.

Let it rise in your awareness.

And don't force it,

Just let whatever comes be.

See it in front of you.

Notice its texture and its shape.

And notice what it feels like to hold this,

To hold this part of you in your awareness.

Maybe you can see the parts of you that it served and protected.

And acknowledge that now it's time to let it go.

Taking a nice deep breath in.

With every exhale,

Just letting it dissolve.

And allow yourself to feel what it feels like for it to just get a little further away from you.

This version of yourself.

The story that you told.

Notice what begins to happen as it gets further away.

As you let it go,

Let yourself rest in the emptiness.

Notice what remains in the silence and in the spaciousness.

If you feel like something is missing,

That's okay.

Just be.

Be in the mystery of the in-between.

This is the place of possibility.

If anything remains,

Let your breath cleanse that space.

Until it is just the unknown.

Feel the possibility.

Of the space.

Taking a few moments here to just finish clearing using your breath.

As you exhale,

Just allow for more space.

Allow for more space.

Allow for more possibility.

Taking a final clearing breath together.

Nice inhale.

Let it go.

And now,

If you are ready.

Ready and willing.

To invite something new to arise.

There's no pressure.

You don't have to name it.

Maybe we just feel into the possibility.

With this new space.

What energy would you like to move through you?

What story would you like to tell?

Maybe there's a new way of being that wants to be born.

If an image comes.

Let it come.

Maybe it's a word.

If it's only a sensation.

That's enough.

But just feel.

Feel this new part of you beginning to root.

In your being.

And as it grounds,

Feel it stretching and expanding through your body.

Taking up more and more space.

And as a reminder,

You can say to yourself.

I allow what is new to grow within.

Inhale that with me.

I allow what is new to grow within.

And just know that this cycle.

Is yours to repeat.

Over and over again.

We can allow the death of what no longer serves.

We can feel the grief of letting it go.

To sit with the stillness of the empty space.

Because then we can allow the birth of something new.

Thank you for being here in this sacred practice.

My name is Lillian.

And I would like to welcome you back.

By wiggling your toes.

And feeling the surface beneath.

And we'll close our practice with one last breath.

Taking a nice deep breath in.

And a nice deep breath out.
