Some mornings feel heavier than others - when getting up, showing up, or even just breathing feels like a quiet act of courage. This gentle grounding meditation invites you to meet yourself where you are. There’s no pressure to feel better or productive. Simply come as you are, and together we will rise to the new day. Good morning.

Welcome to this new day.

Wherever you are,

However you feel,

This is your space,

Your moment.

Some days,

Rising feels easy,

And yet other days it takes everything we have.

And if today feels like that for you,

Let's do it together.

Begin by noticing your breath,

Not trying to change it,

Just noticing.

Inhaling slowly,

And exhaling gently.

Just paying attention to the rhythm of your breath.

Let it remind you that you are alive.

You've made it to this moment,

And that matters.

Maybe your body feels heavy this morning.

Maybe your thoughts are foggy,

Restless.

Maybe you've woken up with resistance,

Or even dread.

If that's what's here,

Let it be.

You don't have to push it away or pretend otherwise.

There's space for you here,

Just as you are,

Just as you are feeling.

I'd like to invite you to imagine a small seed just beneath the surface of the soil.

It doesn't know exactly what's above,

But still it moves,

Pushing through darkness,

Through resistance,

Towards the light it cannot yet see.

Feel yourself like that seed,

With quiet strength rising from somewhere deep inside you.

Even if the air feels heavy,

Even if your body feels slow.

You're still moving,

Still becoming.

Nature never rushes,

But it never stops entirely.

Let that be your guide today.

Let your effort be enough.

Allow these words to move through you.

Repeat them silently or softly aloud if you like.

I am allowed to begin slowly.

My pace is valid.

I am not behind.

I carry strength even when I feel empty.

I don't need to fix everything right now.

Just one breath,

One movement,

One gentle choice.

That is enough.

I am enough.

Now slowly and together let's begin the shift.

Let's begin the move towards the day.

Can you start by taking a deeper breath?

Let the inhale fill you and exhale soften you.

Let's begin to move a little.

Wiggle your fingers.

Wiggle your toes.

Roll your shoulders back.

Remove your head gently from side to side.

And let's now give a little stretch.

Allow your body to slowly waken up.

Giving yourself permission to meet the day.

If there's a window or a door nearby,

Turn your head towards it.

The world outside continues and you,

You are an important part of that.

Today doesn't require perfection from you.

It only asks for your presence,

Whatever form that might take.

I'd like to invite you now to sit up.

I know this part can feel difficult,

But I know you have it within you.

Sitting up now.

Swing your legs round and place your feet gently on the floor.

Let it ground you and steady you.

You are here and you are moving forwards.

Take a moment to honour what you've already done.

You've met yourself with kindness and you've chosen to rise anyway,

Even when it feels hard.

Before we take the next step and begin to move away from the bed,

Make a decision in your mind,

What will I do next after I leave the bed?

Maybe you'll go to the bathroom or put the kettle on.

Maybe you'll open the curtains.

Make a decision for that one next step.

Allow yourself to keep moving today,

One step at a time.

And when you're ready,

If your eyes are still closed,

Open them and let's stand.

It's time to take your next step.

When you're ready,

Go forward and meet the day with gentleness and kindness,

Just as you are.
