Hi,

And welcome to this 10 minute.

So hum meditation.

I'm Maria,

And I'll be your guide throughout this time.

So hum meditation is a practice that can help us to use our breath to create focus and calm.

So hum is a Sanskrit phrase,

Meaning I am that.

This can connect us to the universe,

To our oneness and connectedness to all things.

And just give us a sense of groundedness,

Especially when we might feel anxiety,

Or a lot of mental chatter.

This can help us anchor our awareness to the present moment.

So find a comfortable position,

Can sit or lie down.

We'll take a few deep breaths to relax our body and mind.

We can just let our breath return to that natural,

Inhale and exhale,

In through our nose,

And out through our nose or mouth.

As we inhale,

We're going to think silently,

The sound so.

And as we exhale,

We will think the sound hum.

If you feel yourself distracted by sounds in your environment,

Thoughts in your head,

Or sensations in your body,

Just gently guide your focus,

Gently return back to the mantra.

So hum.

We'll begin and end with the sound of the bell.

I'll keep track of the time.

So hum.

Go ahead and release the mantra.

If you haven't already.

And just begin to notice how you feel.

Notice if your mental chatter feels quieter.

Notice how your body feels.

Just with non judgment.

Notice how that went for you.

Can make note of anything that came up.

And hopefully you can take this feeling of inner peace with you throughout the rest of your day or evening.

Thank you for meditating with me.

Take such good care.

See you next time.
