This meditation invites you to observe your inner world. Emotions, like weather, shift and change; none of them define you or stay forever. By learning to witness your thoughts and feelings as passing "Weather systems", you’ll begin to create space between what you feel and who you are. This practice helps you develop emotional resilience, self-acceptance, and a deeper trust in your ability to navigate whatever arises within.

Thanks for joining me today.

This meditation is about experiencing our emotions as passing experiences.

Our intention is to normalize our emotional shifts.

Today,

We're meeting the emotional self with gentleness,

Curiosity,

And compassion.

Our emotions are like weather systems.

They come and they go,

They don't define us,

They just need space to be felt.

You don't have to analyze your feelings right now,

You just get to notice them and let them pass.

So let's begin.

Settle into a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down,

Whatever feels comfortable for you.

Close your eyes if that feels safe,

Or just let your gaze soften.

Feel your body resting here,

Supported and held by the surface beneath you.

Let's check in with our breath together,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling gently through your mouth,

Again with the inhale,

And softly exhaling,

Letting your shoulders soften on the exhale,

Relaxing your jaw and allowing your lips to be gently open,

And letting your breath return to its calm,

Natural rhythm,

And noticing what that is.

Now gently turn your attention inward,

And ask yourself softly,

What am I feeling right now?

There's no need to fix it,

Let's just name it.

Maybe it's calm,

Maybe it's restless,

Maybe there's sadness,

Gratitude,

Or even frustration.

Whatever is present for you,

Let's just let that be okay.

Now bring that emotion into your awareness like a weather system.

What does it feel like in your body?

Where do you feel it in your body?

Does it have a temperature?

Does it have a shape,

A movement,

Maybe it even has a texture?

Let it be here,

Like rain or wind or the sunlight,

Knowing that no storm lasts forever.

As you breathe,

Say to yourself,

This is here right now,

And it will pass.

This is here right now,

And it will pass.

You are not your feelings,

You are the sky that holds it all.

Let's rest in silence for the next minute or so,

Breathing with whatever is here.

Your emotions are not problems,

They're signals,

Messengers,

They're movement,

They're proof that you are alive,

And like weather,

They shift.

Today offer yourself a little grace.

If a strong emotion rises,

Pause,

Breathe,

And remind yourself,

I'm allowed to feel this,

And it will pass.

As we close,

Place a hand over your heart,

Breathe into your heart space,

And thank yourself for showing up.

You're doing beautifully.

When you're ready,

Let's take a moment to sit back,

Relax,

And take a deep breath.

When you're ready,

Gently return to the room by opening your eyes,

Gazing around to check your surroundings,

Make sure that you're present.

Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes and find your space to carry on about your day.

Thank you for joining me.
