In this 5 minute meditation, we will take time to ground ourselves and connect to gratitude. In the busy world we live in, it's important to set a few moments aside to think about all that we are grateful for. And not only to think about it but to really connect with that space of gratitude in our body. I hope you enjoy! Namaste

Wherever you are,

Find a comfortable seated posture with your sit bones rooted down into the surface of your seat,

Finding length in the spine and out through the top of your head.

Maybe it's accessible to lie down and if so just finding a comfortable position for your body.

As you feel ready,

You can either softly gaze ahead of you or let the eyes softly close,

Taking a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose,

Filling all the way up and then exhale out of your mouth.

Let it go.

We'll take that two more times in through your nose,

Fill all the way up and then empty out.

One last time in through your nose,

Biggest breath of your day and then slowly release the breath out of your mouth.

With each and every exhalation,

Feel yourself drift into a state of deep relaxation.

Continue to breathe slowly and gently as you bring your awareness to the top of your head.

Picture a warm,

Loving,

Golden light spread from the top of your head,

Filling your body all the way down your arms,

Torso,

Legs to the very tips of your toes.

Feel your muscles relax as a light washes over you,

Surrounding and protecting you.

Take a few more deep breaths and relax even deeper.

In this safe,

Relaxed state,

Reflect on all the things you're grateful for,

Loved ones,

Breath in your lungs,

Sunshine on your face,

Fresh air,

A nice compliment,

Whatever comes to mind.

As each object of gratitude appears,

Visualize yourself saying thank you to each thing.

Now begin to picture the person in your life that you are most grateful for,

Standing right in front of you.

And with your imagination,

Tell them how grateful you are and maybe the reasons why.

Try to make the image and feeling as real as you can,

Like they're here with you.

Allow the feeling of deep gratitude to come into your body,

Filling up every cell and expanding outwards.

Notice where the feeling and sensations appear in the physical body.

Take a few deep breaths and allow it to continue to expand outwards,

Filling up every corner and space in the physical body.

Eventually,

Allowing this energy to expand outside of the physical body in all directions.

Enjoy the pleasant feeling gratitude gives you and feel it wash away any leftover tension.

You can remain in this relaxed state of gratitude as long as you'd like.

Coming back to this feeling anytime you need a little pickup or a feeling of peace and serenity.

As we move into each parts of our day,

Let this feeling of gratitude carry you.

And as you feel ready,

Gently start to wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes,

Reawakening the physical body.

We'll take one more breath together,

Inhaling through the nose,

And then as you exhale,

Slowly begin to flutter your eyes open.

I hope you enjoyed this meditation.
