Greetings and welcome to today's meditation,

A Resting Place for Protective Parts.

Take a moment to find a position that feels supportive to your body.

Let your breath arrive softly,

Gently,

Without rushing.

Inhale.

Slowly exhale.

Bring your awareness to your heart space.

You may place your hand there if it feels safe and right to do so.

Allow yourself to feel the steady rhythm of your breath that is just beneath your palm.

Allow yourself just to be one with it.

Begin to breathe in and out through your heart space.

Allow your breath to just be smooth and even.

Light.

With a sense of ease.

Imagine this breath creating a field of warmth and steadiness within you.

Now extend an invitation to your protective parts.

The ones who work tirelessly to keep you safe.

The ones who guard and manage,

Control,

Or just push through.

Let them know that this space is for them.

Invite them to come forward,

To be with you.

And just watch.

See who comes forward.

Welcome them with openness.

With an open heart.

Maybe with a little gratitude,

Appreciation,

Or even thankfulness.

Tell them you have done so much.

You have carried so much.

But right here,

Right now,

You can rest.

You can take a moment to catch your breath.

To get rejuvenated.

To be replenished.

This is for you.

Watch them as they arrive,

However they choose to.

They can come as images.

Sensations.

Colors.

A quiet presence.

As memories.

Just let them know that there is no pressure.

Just permission.

Invite them to breathe with you.

To inhale calmness.

Or maybe compassion.

Or clarity.

And they can exhale any tension,

Vigilance,

Or weight.

That they no longer need to hold on to in this moment of rest.

Of rejuvenation.

Of restoration.

They don't have to let go of everything.

Just what feels right for now.

Even a fraction.

Of a burden is welcome.

Tell them you are honored here.

You are valued here.

You may lay down what is too heavy to keep carrying at this moment.

You can rest in safety.

All will be well.

Invite them to take another breath with you.

And to just feel your body soften.

Feel the energy lighten.

And stay here for as long as you need to.

Being with them.

And when it feels complete.

Let them know.

That they can return here anytime.

That this resting place.

Is always here for them.

Thank you for tuning in.

Bye-bye for now.
