Hello,

Welcome to this space.

Wherever you are,

Make yourself comfortable or as easy as you can and take a breath with me.

If things aren't going your way today or lately,

And perhaps you're not feeling at your best or even at your average,

And you just want to lay down and feel whatever you feel,

This is for you.

This recording is not meant to join in the parade of people and internet advice to do better,

Try something else or push a bit more.

This is for when you just want to be.

This is to let you know that you are allowed to feel difficult things,

That you are enough as you feel difficult things and that there is nowhere else you need to be striving to go,

Because it's okay to be here for a little while or for as long as you need.

This is not your ultimate advice to storm out of your place searching for some means to numb it all out,

A drink or some activity that will magically make everything disappear.

And if that is what you need by all means,

Do,

Listen and meet yourself.

But if what you need right now is to surrender in a way that you can let yourself be,

Knowing that it's okay to experience whatever emotion is surfacing,

To know that you are enough even when you feel angry,

To know that it's okay for a little while to just allow sadness to surface.

These things are natural,

We don't have to be pushing them all away as soon as we can,

It's okay to get through them,

Experiencing them and getting on the other side in time.

So just allow yourself,

Perhaps grab a piece of paper if that can be helpful for you,

Even just scribbling something just to let some tension out.

Maybe you might fancy some colors or whatever you see in your vicinity,

If you have crayons available,

Whatever is there,

It doesn't matter,

Just let yourself have an outlet for comfort.

Maybe you want to fidget with something,

If you enjoy cards or a particular texture of an object you may resort to that,

Or sometimes even just hugging a pillow may help.

Or a smell,

Is there any sensory pleasure,

Comfort that you can call in right now,

Whether that's an essential oil or a scented candle,

A flower,

Or any scent that you know you like and it makes you feel calm.

Does that ground you even a little bit?

Maybe sipping a few drops of your favorite drink,

Or breathing and noticing that your body is doing that,

And you don't have to participate,

You don't have to come in,

Nothing is required of you right now.

How does it feel when nothing is required of you?

It's okay to be,

It's safe to feel your emotions,

Knowing that they will not drag you away,

Because you're here,

Your body is here,

And it'll stay where it is.

Your breath is here,

My voice is here,

And whatever object you are holding on to,

Whatever you decided,

If any,

To use for this practice,

Is there.

Practicing the art of being,

The art of allowing.

This can be liberating at times where we feel that we should be doing,

Always something else.

Let yourself be the container of whatever is crossing your experience now,

Your body,

Your mind,

Your heart,

Your emotional space.

Visualize this like a wind,

Like a wind that's perhaps carrying some colors,

Some intensity,

Some texture there,

Maybe a bit of dust,

A bit of memories,

Or even spiraling thoughts,

And the wind is carrying them around and stirring them up,

And you're just like a cave of rocks,

Steady and grounded,

Letting the wind pass through them,

Not closing,

Not obstructing all entrances,

So that you may not be or feel under attack by your own emotions,

But just as gracefully as you can,

Let yourself be crossed,

Let them flow through that cave of rocks,

Which will remain at the end.

You may even learn something from this,

And this is not meant to bring you another piece of unsolicited advice of what you should be learning,

Because none of us really knows exactly,

And we don't need to know.

It's something that either comes to us,

Or it doesn't.

Sometimes it's just a mild realization,

Oh yes,

Maybe I can do this differently if I want to try next time.

Even in the midst of anger,

For example,

You may realize that you may want to experiment setting healthier boundaries in your life,

Or even just noticing,

Yes,

I have been taking on too much lately,

I have been saying yes when I should have said no and I knew it,

Without attacking yourself,

But rather taking anger as your messenger that you've been giving too much,

I hear you anger,

I'm hearing you,

I'm being the best version that I can be of myself,

And I will keep on growing.

This is what we do across our lifetime,

But everybody has their own pace.

Are you feeling some hurt?

Maybe after something that's been said,

Or something that's happened?

Can you place a hand on your chest and see if that gentle pressure can comfort that feeling?

Every emotion,

Every thought,

We can look at them and take what's useful,

Leave what's not.

I'm just being.

Just being.

If you're feeling down or sad,

Maybe try asking that pen and paper,

What does it look like?

What's the shape of it?

Is it really small,

Monochrome?

Is it quite large,

Perhaps it wants to take over the whole page?

Is it something more dynamic,

Or some small figure of color?

Maybe it's a sentence,

A word,

Maybe just a line,

Which is not necessarily going into specific directions,

Or something that needs to make sense.

It's just a line,

Your line,

On paper.

At times there can be a sense of longing,

Or missing something.

Have you been missing some time to yourself lately?

To dedicate your energy to what matters to you?

And if so,

Just acknowledging that.

It's okay.

It is safe to feel this way.

And this will not last forever.

As you sit with it,

You may even notice your energy shifting.

Just existing.

Being.

You are enough.

Your worth is not defined by what you feel.

Even when it doesn't feel this way,

There is support for you.

And there are practices available to you.

Anchor yourself in them.

Keep on reading,

And trusting.

You are not alone.

Namaste.
