Good morning and welcome.
Let's begin with a short morning routine before your day starts asking things of you.
This is a moment to arrive just as you are.
Find a comfortable position sitting up in bed,
In a chair,
Or on the floor,
Or maybe even laying down.
Let your spine be tall but not stiff.
Rest your hands gently on your lap or over your heart and if it feels okay,
Softly close your eyes or keep a gentle gaze in front of you.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in and sighing it out.
Let your breath settle into a natural rhythm,
Easy,
Steady.
Notice how your body feels this morning without trying to change anything.
Just notice.
Gently roll your shoulders back,
Soften your jaw,
And let your face be relaxed.
Feel your feet on the floor or your body supported beneath you.
You are here.
You are grounded.
A new day is beginning.
Bring one hand to your heart,
To the belly if that feels comfortable.
Feel your breath moving under your hands.
With each inhale,
Imagine you are breathing in fresh energy.
With each exhale,
Releasing any left over tension from yesterday.
Nothing from yesterday needs to be carried forward right now.
Just this breath.
Just this morning.
Now gently ask yourself,
How do I want to feel today?
Not what you need to do,
Not who you need to be for others,
But how you want to feel inside.
Maybe the word is calm,
Maybe steady,
Maybe open,
Confident,
Or soft.
Let one word rise naturally.
Take a slow breath in and imagine that feeling.
Feeling your chest and letting it settle inside you.
This can be your daily routine.
A small pause before the world rushes in.
A moment to arrive where you are and choose how you want to feel.
This is your intention.
A feeling you can return to throughout the day with just one conscious breath.
Now begin to bring gentle awareness back to the room.
Maybe stretch your arms overhead.
Take one more deep breath in.
When you're ready,
Softly blink your eyes open.
Your morning routine is complete.
Carry this steadiness with you as you step into your day.
My heart sees yours,
Darling.
I'll be right here if you need to come back.
