Hi there,

I'm Not-So-Darling Tanya and welcome to Meditate in Style.

Life's not-so-darling moments don't stand a chance against stillness and a deep breath because peace,

My darling,

Is always in style.

This meditation will focus on finding peace and comfort when you're feeling sick and hopeless.

It will be gentle,

Soothing,

And a reminder that even in your weakest moments,

You are still whole and worthy of love and care.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,

Whether lying down or propped up with pillows.

Close your eyes if that feels good or keep them soft and unfocused.

Now take a deep breath in and slowly let it out.

Right now your body may feel heavy,

Tired,

Or full of discomfort.

Maybe your mind is tangled in frustration,

Sadness,

Or fear.

You are not alone in this.

Breathe in deeply again and as you exhale,

Let go of any pressure to feel anything other than what you feel at this moment.

My darling,

You don't have to feel strong right now.

You don't have to fight.

You are allowed to simply be.

Imagine yourself wrapped in warmth.

A soft golden light surrounds you.

It's cradling you with care,

And the light holds no judgment.

It only wants to comfort you.

Let it remind you,

You are worthy of rest.

You are worthy of gentleness.

You are worthy of healing.

Your body may be struggling,

But it is also working for you.

Every cell,

Every breath,

Every beat of your heart is a sign that you are still here.

And even if this moment feels unbearable,

It will pass,

Just like every moment before.

When hopelessness creeps in,

Meet it with kindness,

Whisper to yourself,

I am still here,

I am still me,

And I am allowed to rest.

Breathe in love and breathe out a weight of expectation.

Breathe in softness,

Breathe out resistance.

Breathe in comfort,

Breathe out anything that no longer serves you.

You are not alone in your pain.

You are held in the arms of Jesus,

The universe,

Of love,

Of something greater than this temporary suffering.

Rest now,

Darling,

Let go.

You are enough,

Exactly as you are.

Slowly bring awareness back into your space,

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

And if you're ready,

You can open your eyes,

And when you're ready to rest again,

Know that this space of peace is always here for you.
