Welcome,

Welcome dear one.

My name is Tamara and I'm a yoga and meditation teacher and a climate activist.

This meditation is designed to help you feel more supported and calm amidst navigating worry and grief about climate change.

Know that feeling these emotions is normal and you're not alone in that.

But together we can try to feel more settled so that we can direct our energy towards peaceful action.

Let's take a moment to settle in.

Arrive in a comfortable posture seated or lying down.

Relax your shoulders.

Feel grounded and supported by the earth.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and a breath out.

Once more inhale,

Fill up.

And let it go.

Inhale for 4,

3,

2,

1.

Exhale for 3,

2,

1.

Inhale for 3,

2,

1.

Exhale for 3,

2,

1.

Feel the breath in your body.

On the next breath in,

Feel your whole body.

As you exhale,

Calm your body.

Inhale,

Exhale,

Calm body.

On the next breath in,

Inhale,

Acknowledge your thoughts.

Exhale,

Let them go.

Inhale,

Exhale,

Calm your mind.

Continue like this.

Inhale,

Exhale,

Calm body,

Calm mind.

Inhale.

Know that you're not alone on this journey.

So many people around the world care and feel deeply about climate change.

You are not alone.

Let's take a moment to connect and feel this community.

Think of every person you know who also cares about making the world a better place.

Feel their presence in your heart.

Allow your heart to feel gratitude for their existence,

For this community.

With each breath in,

Expand your heart with gratitude for others in the world who care,

Who do,

Who take action.

Allow your heart to feel connected and comforted.

Be with that warmth in your heart and your body for the next few moments.

Hold that warmth,

That connection in your heart for a breath in and a breath out.

Allow your body to feel supported and surrounded by that warmth of gratitude and community.

Slowly come back to your body.

Deep breath in.

Let it go.

One more inhale,

Fill up your belly,

Chest,

Heart.

Hold and let it go.

I hope you feel better,

More supported and connected.
