Welcome back!

My name is Samantha Linden,

Also known as the Blissful Soul.

This is our series,

Happy Hormones,

A 30-day gut reset for women.

If you haven't started from day one yet,

I highly recommend doing so to maximize your success and understanding.

Do you know your current hemoglobin,

A1c?

Another way to assess metabolic health is through a hemoglobin A1c test.

This test measures how well your blood sugar levels have been managed over the past few months.

It helps determine if you have diabetes or if your blood sugar levels are elevated.

It's recommended to have this blood test done annually,

But you can often order it yourself,

Even if your doctor hasn't.

Unfortunately,

The typical ranges for this test may not accurately indicate when we should be concerned.

Often,

A range of around 5.

7% is considered acceptable.

However,

This is one reason why many people remain metabolically unfit and don't address potential issues early on.

As research has shown,

Less than 7% of adults in the U.

S.

Have good cardiometabolic health.

When these issues aren't detected early,

It becomes more challenging to address them effectively.

You can access your health portal online to view your blood test results.

If you don't have a recent hemoglobin A1c test,

You can request that your doctor order one.

If that's not possible,

These tests are often affordable and can be purchased without insurance coverage.

If your hemoglobin A1c result is above 5.

0,

It indicates insulin resistance.

Following a personalized plan,

Like the one we discussed in our monthly chats,

Can help improve this.

Values below 5.

0 indicate good insulin sensitivity,

And levels near 4.

5 are even better as they have anti-aging benefits.

Aim to keep your result below 5.

0.

Don't get discouraged if your result is higher,

You can control it.

I've witnessed individuals significantly lower their numbers in just a few months by implementing the changes we've been discussing.

You will see the changes by following these easy-to-follow plans each month.

Reuse the journal you kept,

Or listen to the talks again to help you reach your goals.

Tomorrow,

We'll explore the dawn effect.

If you've been monitoring your blood sugar and notice high levels in the morning,

This might be the reason.

Stay tuned,

You don't want to miss out.

We will chat soon.
