Welcome back!

This is day 3 of the prep week for a series of talks on rebalancing hormones,

A healthy lifestyle for women.

If you have yet to start from day 1,

I suggest you do so to optimize your success and knowledge.

Today,

We are talking about metabolic fitness and why it is important for our health.

So what does that mean?

In 2018,

A recent statistic revealed that only 12% of Americans are metabolically fit.

However,

It was even more troubling that in 2022,

Tufts published an article that less than 7% of the U.

S.

Adult population has good cardiometabolic health,

A devastating health crisis requiring urgent action,

According to research led by a team from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in a pioneering perspective on cardiometabolic health trends and disparities published in the July 12 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

Their team also included researchers from Tufts Medical Center.

So this number has continued to decline.

Many people are unfamiliar with this concept and wonder why such a low percentage of people are metabolically fit.

Being metabolically fit means a few things,

Including going seamlessly without food,

Having sustained energy throughout the day,

Losing weight effortlessly,

Reducing inflammation,

Increasing brain clarity,

And not feeling sleepy or gaining weight after eating.

It is like achieving a new level of life through fitness training,

But it is also about your body's metabolic health.

The traditional idea of calories in,

Calories out has not effectively achieved metabolic fitness.

We must move away from focusing solely on restricting calories and exercising more.

Instead,

We need to focus on becoming fat burners rather than sugar burners,

Adopting specific food styles,

Exploring different fasting methods,

And ultimately becoming metabolically fit.

These are all areas you will learn to do effortlessly in this series of talks.

We are often made to think it needs to be more complicated than it should be,

So we usually feel defeated and give up easily,

Thinking we do not have control.

Studies want us to believe we need them for supplements,

Diet pills,

Health bars,

And everything else for them to earn money.

We will shift our mindset away from constant eating,

Calorie restriction,

And reliance on sugar-free foods to lose weight.

By embracing a new approach to metabolic fitness,

You can achieve better health outcomes.

With this in mind,

Please take some time today to think about how,

If you follow me along this journey this next month,

It can help change your life.

Consider the question,

If you had a magic wand and could erase at least one problem,

What would it be?

Take some time to think about it,

As this will be something you will look back on as your driving force throughout our time together.

If it is,

I want to lose 30 pounds,

Why?

What could you do?

Will it take away the pain in your joints?

Could it help you go to more social events?

Could it give you more confidence?

For me,

My magic wand was to have more energy due to my chronic fatigue for over a decade.

However,

When I looked inside the question,

My gut and hormones were no longer balanced.

This was impacting my life on a high level.

I couldn't safely go out to dinner with friends and enjoy a meal because I didn't know how my body would react either through my gut or migraines.

I also had constant back pain that would be unbearable,

So it was hard to make plans ahead of time.

In a few short months,

I became a new person.

This is why it is sometimes important.

Journal and reflect on our progress,

As these steps seem small,

At the time,

But slowly erasing over a decade of pain,

It's worth these small steps for me.

I know your goals will be worth it,

Whatever they are for you.

Our bodies are beautiful healing vessels.

Again,

Before day three,

Journal on the question,

If you had a magic wand and could erase at least one problem,

What would it be?

Bookmark this so you can look back at your progress later.

Reflect on how your life would change mentally,

Physically,

And spiritually.

Also continue to document the time of your last meal tonight and when you start your first meal tomorrow.

See you again tomorrow,

My friend.

Congratulations on taking control of your health.

Thank you for letting me be part of your journey.

Thank you Samantha. If I had the magic wand I would put on a bit of weight.
