Hello,
My name is Sabrina,
And today I will be guiding us through the Golden Light Breath meditation.
This is a Kundalini-inspired meditation for safety,
Clarity,
And inner radiance.
The Golden Light Breath connects us to the dynamic and magnetic flow of life energy or prana.
In this practice,
We suggest lying on your back,
Though you can work through this breath in many positions.
Being seated,
Walking,
Or resting in meditation.
It can also be a nourishing practice to do before bed or falling asleep.
If at any time you need to adjust your breath or skip a pause,
You are welcome to flow with what feels right for your body.
Let's get started.
I welcome you to take a moment to arrive here just as you are.
And find a comfortable seated position,
Or lying down.
One where your body can feel supported and at ease.
You might sit upright,
Or you might lie all the way down,
If that feels better for you today.
If it feels natural,
Allow the eyes to gently close.
Or keep them softly open,
Resting the gaze downward.
Begin by noticing your breath.
Not changing it,
Just observing.
Feel the weight of your body.
Notice the places where you are being held.
Let the next few breaths be slow and natural.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the nose or mouth.
With each exhale,
Imagine your body softening.
Your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your belly.
There is nothing that you need to fix.
Nothing you need to achieve.
This is simply a moment to be with yourself.
Now when you are ready,
Bring your awareness to the space above the crown of your head.
Imagine a soft,
Radiant,
Golden light.
Warm,
Steady,
And intelligent.
This golden light carries life energy,
Or prana.
The vital force that nourishes our body.
Pause in awareness of this golden light.
If you are lying down,
Or if you are seated upright,
You may place your hands to your lower belly.
Begin to breathe slowly and deeply through the nose.
As you inhale and exhale,
Visualize your breath as golden light,
Rather than invisible air.
On the inhale,
Allow your abdomen or belly to expand like a balloon.
Let the breath be slow and steady,
Feeling the gentle rise of the belly.
Focusing on the inhales here,
At the same time imagine the golden light entering through the crown of your head.
Arriving like sunlight,
Smooth and nourishing.
And as you breathe,
Let the breath fill the lungs fully,
With ease.
At the top of the inhale,
You may gently pause.
And as you pause with the breath at the top,
Allow the golden light to circulate through your body,
And expand into the space beyond your skin.
As you exhale,
Allow the belly to soften,
And slowly draw inward towards the spine.
Continue with this breath flow.
At the top of the inhale,
You can gently hold the breath and pause.
Allow the golden light to circulate through your entire body,
And into the field beyond your skin,
Surrounding you.
As you exhale,
Allow the belly to softly draw inward.
Imagine the golden light traveling through your body,
Through your throat,
Your heart,
Your belly.
Feel the light extending outward,
Blending with the larger field of light that surrounds you.
And if it feels comfortable for you,
Pause briefly at the end of the exhale,
Before slowly inhaling again.
Feel this light entering.
Feel this light entering your being from a vast universal pool of love.
Sense it through your nostrils,
Filling the lungs,
Circulating throughout the body,
Loving you and nourishing each one of your cells.
Continue with this breath.
Breathe as slowly and as deeply as feels comfortable,
Holding the breath briefly after each inhale and exhale.
With each inhale,
This light and wisdom arrives for you,
Activating your radiance and your vitality.
As you hold the breath,
Sense the light moving through your aura,
Moving through your energy,
Nourishing and supporting you.
As you exhale,
Allow yourself to release anything that is ready to go,
Anything that may be dimming your natural radiance.
Continue breathing in this way,
Slow and steady with the golden light.
Inhaling golden light,
Vitality,
Presence,
Holding briefly the light circulating,
Vibrating,
Nourishing.
Exhaling,
Release,
Softening,
Letting go.
If at any point the breath or sensation feels like too much,
You can shorten the breath or let it return to a natural rhythm.
You are guiding the practice.
The practice is not guiding you.
If you would like,
At this time,
Allow the golden light to gently gather in the heart space.
Imagine the golden light wrapping the heart in a warm,
Steady glow,
Protective,
Supportive,
Calm.
This light reminds the body and nervous system,
In this moment,
You are safe.
Let the breath continue,
Golden light flowing in,
Grounding downward.
Begin to sense your whole body filled with this soft golden radiance.
Notice how your breath feels now.
Notice any subtle shifts in sensation,
Energy,
Or mood.
There is nothing to analyze.
Just noticing is enough.
When you are ready,
Allow the image or the feeling or sensation of the golden light to gently fade,
Knowing it is always available to you.
Let the breath return to its natural rhythm.
Bring your awareness back to your body in the space.
Feel the ground or the surface beneath you.
If your eyes are closed,
Slowly blink them open.
Carry this sense of clarity,
Vitality,
And steadiness with you into the rest of your day.
