Guided meditation to embody and embrace self-acceptance,
Acceptance of every moment,
Acceptance of life.
The intention of this meditation is to serve as an empowering tool for us to align with the natural flow of life.
Sometimes we feel resistance or we disagree with what is happening to us in our lives and this causes us a lot of suffering.
We can use certain ways of thinking and believing to lighten up the load of our ego's desire to hold on to the past because we are designed to flow with life and to release and to embrace every moment.
And accepting every moment aligns us with what life truly is all about just as everything in life is growing and releasing and transforming,
Dying,
Birthing,
Ending,
Beginning.
Sometimes we resist things moving naturally.
So we're going to practice now allowing life to happen to us and to release whatever we might be holding that's causing us to suffer.
Sometimes things happen to us that we don't agree with and we feel that life is not supporting us,
Is not being kind to us.
We can embrace everything that happens and trust that it is all perfect and we can adopt a way of thinking and believing where life is always serving us.
When we think life is being mean to us or cruel,
That doesn't serve us.
So are you ready,
Willing and able now to align with the goodness of life and to believe,
To choose to believe that life is serving you in every moment?
Yes,
Yes,
Yes.
And if there's any part of you that is resisting accepting life as it is,
Are you willing to let go of any resistance to accepting life as it is?
Yes,
Yes,
Yes.
Lay down in a comfortable position,
Preferably with a pillow underneath your low back,
Your spine,
Your head and your neck so that this pillow can be supporting your spine so that your heart can be more elevated than your hips.
Bring the soles of your feet together and your knees wide apart.
Feel your body leaning back into the support surface.
Allow yourself to accept all the support.
Feel an embrace of support behind you,
Beneath you.
Lean back into it and accept it now.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale,
Leaning back even more.
Inhaling deeply,
Feeling the expansion and elongation in your rib cage,
Chest and abdomen,
Low back and pelvic floor.
The whole center of your body expanding as you inhale through your nose.
Feel this expansion.
Believe this expansion in your center now.
Allow yourself to accept a deep and full inhalation.
Believe the inhalation,
Letting go of all resistance to receiving.
Think about a time when you resisted life,
When you did not want to accept what was happening or you questioned,
Why is this happening to me?
It's not fair or I wish this wasn't happening to me.
And you felt that life was not on your side.
Something that caused you great suffering,
Hurt feelings.
And allow that memory to come up.
Something that you have not wanted to accept happening.
Notice what comes up for you.
Lean back into the feeling of acceptance of that.
Are you willing to accept what happened?
How do you feel about what happened?
Are you at peace with it or are you resentful and bitter at what happened?
Notice what you feel.
Allow those feelings to come up and if you feel those emotions or feelings anywhere in your body,
Breathe into those parts of your body.
Notice if there's any areas of tightness or constriction.
When you think about something in your life that you have not accepted or something that you're resentful about that you have not embraced.
Maybe someone in your life passed away and it was sudden or maybe you had a loss.
Something that you felt was taken away from you.
Allow those feelings to come up.
Breathe into your body wherever you might be feeling resistance.
Exhale,
Open your mouth.
Letting go.
Think about something that's caused suffering in your life,
Something in the past that you may still be resenting.
Something you may not have forgiven or accepted or have come to terms with or are in peace about.
Something that you haven't felt closure.
And allow yourself to feel that loss,
To feel that emptiness,
That sadness,
Whatever emotions come up.
Breathe in life to those parts of your body where you might be feeling and sensing these stuck emotions.
Deep breath in.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhaling.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale,
Release.
Exhale,
Release.
Lean back even more into the support surface.
Take this moment right now to remember how loved you are by our Creator.
You were thought into form and designed by our Creator Source.
Lean back into the support of our Creator.
Breathing in trust and acceptance.
Allow yourself right now to feel so loved,
Supported,
Safe.
Notice in your body if there's any resistance to releasing into this support surface or if there's any part of you that is unsure of letting go into the support of our Creator.
For some of us,
We're so used to doing everything on our own by ourselves or we're so used to giving,
Giving,
Giving,
Going,
Going,
Going that to lean back and to trust is awkward for us or scary.
Notice what comes up for you.
Is it easy for me to completely surrender and lean back into the divine support or do I feel I'm all alone right now?
How do I feel?
Notice what comes up for you.
Deep breath in,
Feeling yourself,
Filling yourself up.
Exhale.
As you do these next few breaths,
Notice yourself in your body.
Are my shoulders relaxed or are they tense?
Do my shoulders feel like they lean back easily or are they feeling like they're elevated up to my ears?
Lean back even more.
Does my head and neck feel relaxed and passive,
Supported by the pillow or am I holding on?
Is my jaw tense?
Is my neck tense?
Notice what arises.
Does my low back feel relaxed?
Am I able to surrender it to the support or is my low back tense right now?
Breathing into your low back,
Bring awareness to how your low back feels right now.
Exhale release.
Can I turn off my muscles?
Am I able to surrender completely now?
Breathing into your whole body.
Notice how you feel about your ability to let go and surrender.
Is this easy for you?
Or are you upset with yourself because you notice you're tense and you're guarding and you're holding?
Notice what arises,
Breathing into those parts of the body that might still be holding.
Exhale,
Let go with your sounds.
Allow yourself the experience of complete surrender.
Consider into this moment now going deeper.
Accepting all the sensations in your body.
Allowing yourself to feel at the deepest level your being.
Allow a loving breath to enter in through your nostrils,
Feeling so supportive of your experience right now with yourself.
There's nothing you need to change.
Allowing yourself to simply be,
Receiving your breath,
Leaning back into the support surface,
Feeling so supported and loved.
Allow yourself to feel you have everything you need right now and in every moment.
Allow yourself the feeling of completion,
Wholeness,
Accepting fully your whole being now.
Feeling complete acceptance of your body,
Of this present moment now.
And if there's any part of you that's been hard on yourself or not accepted yourself,
Are you willing to forgive yourself right now and surrender and allow the past to be simply that?
Yes,
Yes,
Yes.
Taking in this moment completely and fully now.
Getting in optimal self-acceptance now.
Continue your breaths,
Feeling grateful for who you are,
Exactly as you are.
I'm so grateful for you.
I love you.
Please forgive me.
