Welcome to this meditation on letting go of limiting beliefs.

Come into a comfortable seated position and when you're ready,

Close your eyes.

Limiting beliefs can be described as the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we are able to accomplish.

These beliefs are often unconscious,

Yet they have a powerful role in driving our decisions,

Habits and behaviours.

Through the practice of mindfulness,

We can start to become more aware of how we are limiting ourselves through these beliefs and work on building a more positive and confident mindset.

To start this session,

Let's bring our attention to the present moment.

Allowing yourself to completely relax.

Let your shoulders fall naturally.

Relax your face,

Your jaw and your neck.

Relax your shoulders,

Your chest and your abdomen.

Release any tension in your hips,

Your thighs,

Your legs,

Feet and toes.

Notice how you are feeling right now.

There is no right or wrong way to feel,

You are simply noticing.

Allow your body to settle into this place of stillness and calm.

Now turn your attention to the breath.

Notice as it comes in and out of the body.

Feel yourself becoming more relaxed as you release tension with every exhale.

Let go of any thoughts that are pulling at your attention or telling you that you should be elsewhere.

Simply return to the breath as you breathe in and out.

As you sit here,

You may find yourself making judgements about yourself.

Simply let go and continue to breathe deeply in and out.

In and out.

As you sit here in a calm and relaxed state,

Simply acknowledge that you are unique,

Special,

Worthy of self-love,

Respect and kindness.

Limiting beliefs are based on fear,

Both a fear of failure and a fear of success.

We place limits on ourselves so we don't have to experience the uncomfortable resistance that comes with change,

Even if this change may lead to a positive outcome.

We hold onto limiting beliefs because they give us an excuse to remain in our comfort zone.

Yet it is through challenge and pushing ourselves through our limitations that we experience growth and discover our true potential.

So now I would like you to reflect on something that you dream of accomplishing in your life.

It can be a short-term or long-term goal.

What are the reasons you believe you can't achieve this goal?

What is the limiting belief holding you back from making progress?

Is there something about success that frightens you?

Do you feel that others will judge you if you are successful?

What if you were to just let go of these limiting beliefs you have placed on yourself?

What if you were to create an entirely new story about your potential and what you can accomplish?

How would this change the way you live your life?

Take a moment now to visualise how it might feel to accomplish your goal or dream.

Embrace this sense of pride and self-satisfaction that comes from achievement.

You have the capacity to achieve anything you set your mind to.

Everything in life is fixed if you focus on cultivating a growth mindset.

As we come to the end of this session,

Spend the last few moments feeling inspired and motivated to let go of any self-imposed limits.

Choose to set yourself free from the stories or beliefs that are holding you back from living a fearless and fulfilled life.

Start to bring your attention back to your body,

Wriggle your fingers and your toes and gently open your eyes.
