
Clarity Meditation

The shift in seasons from late summer to autumn creates an opportunity for more clarity in our inner and outer lives, relationships, and experiences of the world. No matter if you're looking for more discernment or want a deeper sense of trusting your knowing (vs. your ego or should be), this meditation will offer a somatic and energetic resource for you.

Welcome in to the Creating a Relationship with Clarity meditation.
I'm Amy Babish,
And I invite all parts of you into this deeper process.
You can begin by laying back,
Lying down,
Or taking a seat where your bottom is on the floor,
Giving yourself permission to even be 1% more comfortable,
And beginning to notice your breath,
That each time you breathe,
Your breath is breathing you,
With nothing to do,
Nothing to know,
Nothing to be,
And nothing to have,
That you are worthy of each breath of life just as you are.
You can begin to notice the temperature of your breath,
Perhaps the sound of it,
The feel of it as it comes in and out of your nose or mouth,
And then beginning to notice the quality of the air around you,
If you're inside or outside,
Noticing how it touches your skin.
And on the next inhalation,
Closing your eyes if they're not already closed,
And taking an elevator or lift of awareness down into your physical heart space,
And it might help to place one or two hands there,
And beginning to make contact with your physical heart,
Noticing the temperature of your heart,
If you can notice the beat,
The sensation or quality of the beat,
The intensity or lightness of it,
Noticing both the front and back of the physical heart,
And then beginning to notice the energetic quality of your heart,
The essence that it might hold both inside and outside of your body,
Around your body.
Its presence might be constricted,
Or it might be large.
There's no right or wrong,
You're just noticing what is in your midst.
And then bringing your awareness down into your pelvic bowl.
Notice how your pelvic bowl is the largest bone in your body.
It's the seat where all of you sits.
Its strength holds all of you,
No matter what is happening in your life or in the world,
And that you're worthy of being held just as you are.
On the next inhalation,
Bringing your awareness down into your feet,
And shifting from doing to allowing,
And letting your brain or ego know that there's nothing to try here,
There's no efforting.
It's simply a remembering.
And when you're ready,
Allowing your energetic heat to go deep into the core of the center of the earth,
Whatever you may call that place,
Whatever the sacredness that gives life itself,
To the rocks,
The earth,
The soil,
The minerals,
The crystals,
The plants,
The trees,
The animals,
The birds,
The flowers,
The harvest,
Into people.
Noticing that this sacred core of the earth has witnessed millennia of generations of people.
Its wisdom is unconditional,
Its support is unconditional.
And when you're ready,
Beginning to breathe in the vibration for unconditional support of the essence of clarity,
Allowing it to come out through the bottoms of your physical feet,
Through your calves,
Through your knees,
Your quads and thighs,
Through your pelvic bowl,
Through the front and back of your gut,
Through the front and back of your heart,
Your lungs,
Across your shoulders,
Through the front and back of your neck and throat,
Through your jaw,
Your ears,
Sinuses,
Through the front and back of your eyes and up to the crown of your head.
And remembering there's nothing to do here.
You're beginning to open to a relationship with the vibration of clarity.
Clarity has its own essence,
Its own wisdom.
And this might go beyond the realms of your thinking mind,
Or accessing wisdom that's been passed down for generations,
Through gatherings,
Through folk tales and folklore,
Through wisdom keepers and through oral traditions.
You're beginning to notice the sensations that arise in your body as you invite in this deeper awareness that you are worthy of building a relationship with clarity,
Wisdom,
Discernment from a deeper place beyond the thinking mind.
The thinking mind and ego can be an ally.
However,
They don't hold the depths of wisdom that the earth,
Your sacred lineage,
Our wisdom keepers share.
On the next inhalation,
Inviting the flow of sacred clarity to double.
Inviting it to go to places known and unknown in the conscious and unconscious body-mind.
And then placing a hand on your heart and noticing the sensations or temperature or subtle awareness as you make contact with your physical and energetic heart.
Your heart is a strong support for your process in cultivating a deeper awareness and relationship with clarity.
The heart can be patient and can ride the wave,
Whatever emotions might come,
Whatever sensations that might come,
That might call to times when you haven't experienced clarity or perhaps memories or stories of others who have been reactive or unclear.
And as those arise,
Just inviting that life force to come and tend to those,
Almost like a hug or a cloud that's enveloping a shift in the pattern of weather.
And as you deepen into your awareness,
I invite you to imagine connecting with this seasonal shift from late summer into autumn.
This is a time seasonally when we're preparing to receive the harvest.
We have the last glimmers of the aliveness and the fire of summer.
And we're shifting to make room to receive the harvest.
Part of our relationship with clarity,
As reflected by this seasonal shift,
Is noticing what needs to be completed to have space made both physically,
Emotionally,
Energetically,
Financially,
Or relationally to make space for what you'll be harvesting from this previous year.
It might be small tasks.
It might be bigger projects.
It might be uncomfortable conversations.
It might be brave or vulnerable conversations.
Tuning into your heart space and noticing what is your heart inviting you to put your life force in to come to completion to create space for the harvest that awaits you.
You might be given a word,
An image,
A sound,
A motion or gesture.
It might be a metaphor.
It might be a scent.
If it's not clear to you,
You can ask for clarity.
You can say,
Please make it be clear because my intention is to have a deeper relationship with clarity.
Next,
Taking a deep breath,
Reconnecting to that life force or life support and doubling it if you wish,
Allowing it to support you in your heart's deeper longing for clarity.
And once you have clarity around what wants to be completed,
What unfinished business is there for you,
Your life,
Your work,
Your relationships,
Or your legacy,
You can begin to inquire about honoring what will be harvested.
Part of a clarity practice,
Especially as we shift into autumn,
Is making space to review what we're reaping the benefits of,
Not just individually,
But relationally,
Communally,
And globally.
What has felt life-giving?
What have you cherished?
What have you devoted yourself to?
Where were your blind spots?
Where might you have under-functioned or over-functioned out of reactivity as compared to slowing down and discerning with the support of clarity?
What are you noticing around what you desired or needed that was unclear up until this moment?
Remember to come to this inquiry with compassion,
Grace,
And gentleness,
That this is an ongoing conversation and a dialogue with our deeper selves,
The one who notices our true self,
And the wisdom and the practice of cultivating a relationship of clarity.
This isn't an egoic,
Capitalistic conversation based on confusion,
Of shaming,
Blaming,
Or judging ourselves or others.
Taking a deep breath and opening to receive deeper support,
That you are on a journey of living a big life.
And as long as you're alive,
That is the journey's length.
It's not a sprint.
It's not a marathon.
It's not task-oriented.
It is relational.
It is evolving.
It is cyclical.
As you let your breath wash over your body,
Allowing an intention to begin to bubble up,
And taking your torch or flashlight of awareness deeper within,
And noticing the quality or felt sense of awareness of the intention,
What has your inner wisdom illuminated around cultivating your relationship or capacity for clarity?
Or perhaps it's deeper,
An aspect of clarity about yourself,
Or clarity about your relationship with yourself,
Or growing your capacity to notice what is true for you from this deeper place of wisdom versus an egoic or mindset of right and wrong,
Good and bad,
Judgment or blame,
Success or struggle.
Honoring whatever has bubbled up and breathing into all parts of you,
Allowing the breath to go deep,
Deep,
Deep within the cells and the space between the cells into your DNA and your body,
And allowing this seasonal shift in the supportive vibration and wisdom of clarity to wash through your unconscious and conscious body-mind,
And taking three deep breaths like the wind blowing through the trees,
Gentlemen,
Or the waves washing through the ocean,
And thanking yourself for this time to contemplate and be in deeper relationship with what's in your midst,
And then bringing your awareness back to this space,
Wiggling your fingers,
Toes,
Perhaps cat-cats,
Yawning,
Blinking your eyes,
And if you're laying down,
Rolling over to one side.
If you have water,
Take a drink,
And you might want to take time to journal after this practice and make a few notes or doodles or images.
Until we meet again,
I deeply honor you,
Your lineage,
Your communities,
And this big life you came to birth and the legacy we will co-create.
