This meditation explores non-dual awareness and cultivating more presence in our minds,

In our bodies.

Begin to close down your eyes,

Beginning to relax.

Your eyelids are growing heavier now,

Your eyeballs are softening into your eye sockets.

You are now looking into those colours behind your eyelids.

This familiar place,

This protective space,

Allow yourself to sink into this if you can.

Sinking deeper and deeper and deeper still into the sanctuary behind your eyes,

Which is always available to you.

This safe and familiar place and stillness,

Where stillness can start to move,

And maybe there is some slowing down starting to take place.

We spend so much time seeing and looking,

But do we really see?

Are we looking with our body's eyes,

Or are we looking with the eyes of the heart?

Here,

In this stillness,

Behind our eyelids,

We can begin to find presence and a deeper awareness,

Solace,

Comfort,

Sanctuary.

Here in this space,

It is safe.

It is safe enough for now,

And it is time to switch off,

To turn down any maddening thoughts we may be having,

Any anxious worries about the past or the future,

Or even the present.

Beginning to turn down any frantic cries we may hear in our minds about things we need to do or haven't done,

Things which have happened or might happen.

Here in this space,

It is safe.

Here is the space of awareness,

A sense of being present,

Of being here,

Right now,

Right here.

A deeper sense of self,

Behind our eyelids,

Behind our busy minds,

A quiet space,

Maybe it seems distant or small,

Behind our busy thoughts and our minds,

There is a space called awareness,

A space called presence,

And this space is aware of being aware.

It's the space which is aware of being here,

Right here,

Right now.

It is the space which is aware of our busy minds,

The space which is aware of this experience,

Right now,

Right here.

Here in this space is where awareness lives,

Behind our eyes,

Behind our eyelids,

A quietness,

A place of solitude,

A place of miracles,

A place of gratitude.

Peace,

Love,

Forgiveness,

A space of deep worthiness.

Here is a space where you can access at any time,

By closing your eyes,

By slowing down,

Feeling the space behind your mind.

Feeling the space between your thoughts,

Where there is this quiet,

Humble stillness,

Where you are closer to the earth,

Closer to nature,

Closer to others.

Closer to your heart,

Closer to your truth.

It is a space that allows you to speak from truth,

To speak from awareness,

To rise above the noise,

To rise above the frantic thoughts of doing and activity.

To step outside the busyness of the mind,

And move towards quiet,

Gentle space behind our minds,

Between our thoughts,

Where awareness lives.

Where presence lives,

Solace,

Safety,

Being.

Here we can forgive the frantic searching of our thoughts and our minds.

Searching,

Always looking and seeking and doing.

Always finding more to seek,

More to do,

More to think.

It is here in this quiet,

Dark,

Quiet stillness,

Quiet presence,

We can find the quiet,

We can find the spaciousness that we are yearning for.

To see with our hearts again,

And connect to our truth,

Our deepest truth.

Something which may feel familiar,

Like a distant memory,

Or an ancient song.

Something we once knew,

And perhaps we lost long ago,

But still recognize.

An ancient melody.

Stillness and quiet,

And awareness,

And a sense of truth.

Guiding us back to self,

Our true selves,

The truth of who we are.

Who is not fazed by busy minds and busy thoughts,

Or the demands of the world around us.

Who is whole,

And present,

And worthy.

Allow ourselves this space,

Allow yourself this quiet,

Knowing there's always this place,

Always this space to return to,

That is ours.

That is ours,

A sacred and holy space,

Beneath the noise,

To return to,

Anytime we need to.

There is always this space,

This awareness that is you,

This presence,

This sense of true self,

And selfhood.

A sense of just being,

Non-doing,

And nothing else,

Because nothing else is needed.

You are needed to do nothing else,

Just to be.

It is always enough,

This space that is you.

Spend a few more minutes here,

Getting to know this space,

Resting here.

Resting for as long as you need.

Resting here.

Safely and in solace.

Truth and stillness.

This space that is yours.

This presence that is yours.

This serenity that is yours.

This light that is yours.

This light that you are free to bring to the world.

This light you are free to bring to your heart.

This light that you are free to bring to those around you.

Spend a little more time here,

As long as you need.

And then,

When you are ready,

You can start to come back,

In your own time,

To the physical room and space that you are in.

And in your own time,

You can start to blink open your eyes and start to move.

But stay in this space as long as you would like to,

Knowing that you can return to it,

Anytime that you need to.
