Hey,
It's Ash from Asherik Meditation and today we're going to practice loving our thoughts into surrender.
Take a moment here to get cozy in your space,
Maximizing your body's physical comfort,
Preparing for your meditation practice.
At this time,
I invite you to close your eyes if it's comfortable to do so.
Closing our eyes helps reduce mental stimulation by blocking what we take in visually.
And if it's not comfortable to close your eyes during this session,
Find a soft gaze in the floor in front of you.
Allowing yourself to be as you are in the present moment is one of the ultimate radical acts of love that you can give to yourself.
Allowing yourself to be seen and felt as you are with no expectations.
Simple,
Quiet,
Unconditional love.
We'll begin with a few breaths and a body scan to settle into the self.
And I invite you at this time to draw in that first slow sip of air in through the nose.
And out through the mouth.
The bottom of that breath,
Drawing in another inhale through the nose.
And out.
And one more breath in.
And exhaling with a sigh.
And returning your breath to its natural pace.
And as it's settling down,
Bringing your awareness to your forehead for that body scan.
Noticing any sensation present in the brow.
Any pressure,
Any tension.
And allowing the space to grow heavy.
Allowing your eyes to grow heavy.
Bringing that attention down to the jaw.
And creating space here by resting your tongue on the roof of your mouth and parting your teeth ever so slightly.
And as your jaw relaxes,
Noticing your ears relaxing.
Noticing ease coming back into the breath.
Allowing that ease to travel down the front of the throat to the shoulders.
Softening the chest and the back.
And extending that softness all the way down the arms into the hands.
Resting the hands.
Bringing that attention back into the torso by unknotting the belly.
Feeling it to expand fully as you breathe.
Settling into your hips.
Allowing them to support you as you rest.
Feeling the weight of your legs.
Allowing that weight to soften the knees and the ankles.
And releasing that nearly undetectable tension in the thighs,
Calves,
And feet.
Allowing the whole body to surrender.
And just once you think you've surrendered,
Surrender a little more.
Allowing yourself to take up space no matter the emotion you hold or the thought patterns forming or energetic quality that can be interpreted through our many ways of expression.
You are enough as you are and worthy of acceptance in every state.
And feeling that acceptance begins with ourselves.
Observing ourselves.
Sitting with our current inner state.
How we're feeling in the mind and in the body.
And letting go of how we expect ourselves to feel.
Letting go of the desire to be or to feel anything other than what we are right now.
Feeling ourselves unconditional love through acceptance of the body and mind's experience.
We can help foster the self-acceptance by connecting with your meditation practice.
Observing the thoughts bubbling up to grab our attention and practicing non-judgment by allowing the thoughts to be what they are.
And then gently letting them pass by just as easily as they arrived.
When we practice non-judgment,
We practice acceptance.
When we accept our thoughts as they are and the emotional sensations that come with them,
We accept all the little parts of ourselves that make up who we are.
The experiences of our past and of our present.
When we cultivate that inner acceptance,
Tuning into the philosophy of love and wholeness,
We show up to our outer world with more ease.
With less resistance to the way things are,
We take those inner insights of love and acceptance for ourselves and share their benefits with all we encounter.
So let's practice loving our thoughts into surrender through stillness.
Practicing loving acceptance of our thoughts in this moment,
Detecting and loving any resistance and every sensation straight into the heart.
At this time,
I invite you to take a nice slow sip of air in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Bringing that attention up to the brow for a body scan.
Noticing any sensation present in the brow.
Allowing the space to grow heavy.
Allowing the eyes to grow heavy.
And checking in with the jaw,
Creating space.
Noticing that ease coming back into the breath.
Following that ease all the way down the front of the throat to the shoulders.
Down the arms to the hands and into the torso.
Unknotting the belly.
Settling into the hips.
And releasing that nearly undetectable tension in the thighs,
Calves and feet.
Sharing both body and mind.
And just once you think you've surrendered,
Surrender a little more.
Allowing the entire self to float.
And continuing to watch that breath.
Following all of those subtle sensations of breath in the body,
Through the nose,
The throat and the chest.
Down into the belly and back out again.
Allowing that breath to be the focal point into stillness.
Just keep following that breath for the next few minutes and I'll be watching the clock.
If it feels good at this time,
I invite you to repeat these affirmations silently to yourself.
I accept myself in every state and in every moment.
I celebrate my wholeness.
I love myself as I am.
I love myself as I am.
I love myself as I am.
And repeating that affirmation back into stillness for a moment.
I love myself as I am.
And taking a nice slow sip of air in through the nose and out through the mouth.
The bottom of that breath drying in another slow sip of air in through the nose.
And sighing it out.
And returning back to your natural piece of breath.
Inviting some movement into the body by wiggling the fingers and the toes.
Definitely reawakening the mind before we open our eyes.
And taking a moment in gratitude.
Thanking your body for bringing you here.
Thanking your mind for being present.
And thanking yourself for gifting yourself this time.
For loving your thoughts and to surrender.
Gently opening your eyes and finding a soft gaze in front of you.
And spending a few moments waking up to your surroundings before re-engaging with your day.
Thank you for tuning in to Asherak Meditations,
Loving your thoughts and to surrender.
Namaste.
