Hello and welcome to this Pisces New Moon Yoganidra practice.
New Moons are a beautiful time to plant seeds of intention and to manifest and the practice of Yoganidra embeds an intention or resolve called a sankalpa deep into the subtle layer of our being.
So we will weave these two energies of the New Moon and Yoganidra to really embed a deeper intention around the energy of Pisces which shows us how to tap into our intuition,
To be open to possibilities,
To be creative,
Dreamy,
Intuitive and since Pisces is such a spiritual sign,
Combining this practice with Yoganidra is especially supported during this time.
Yoganidra or yogic sleep is the art of receptive relaxation.
There's nothing you need to do or concentrate on,
You just need to open your ears and receive the sound of my voice.
I invite you to find a nice comfortable position to start.
Yoganidra is most often done laying down in Shavasana where the body can be completely relaxed.
Allow yourself to ensure your legs,
Knees are in a comfortable position.
The low back is flush with the support beneath you.
Your head is nice and supportive and if there's any discomfort in your body right now,
Make any adjustments to really prioritize your comfort.
Almost creating this safe haven,
This cocoon of relaxation for you to open your ears,
Connect with the New Moon and invite the energy of Pisces,
This mutable water sign into your being.
Once you take those few moments to settle in,
Close down the eyes or soften the gaze,
Make sure you have a blanket nearby as the body temperature does tend to go colder during this very relaxing practice.
And as you settle in,
Tuning inward to the body now,
Begin to ground into your body.
Noticing where your body touches the earth.
Feel the heels meet the ground.
Feel where the calves touch the ground or the support beneath you.
Feel the back of the thighs against the earth.
Feel the glutes become heavy on the ground.
Feel where the hips meet the ground.
Feel where the low back,
Mid back,
And upper back press into the earth.
Notice where the spine connects with the ground.
Feel the shoulder blades lean into the earth.
Now feel the entire back against the ground.
Feel where the arms touch the earth.
Become aware of the back of the head connected with the ground or the support beneath you.
Now becoming aware of the whole body resting on the ground.
Feel your body become heavy,
Fully supported by the earth beneath you.
Feel your body relax even more as it melts into the support or the ground beneath you.
As you tune into the grounding sensation of the body,
Begin to turn the volume down on the ego mind.
As you turn the volume up on your thoughts,
The third eye center,
The space between the eyebrows,
Your inner vision and intuition.
Gather your awareness at the center of your forehead.
Drive that awareness deeper past the frontal lobe into the space in your brain where both halves of your brain connect.
This is where the pineal gland lies.
Pisces rules the pineal gland,
This spiritual third eye.
Take a moment to access the potency of this tiny structure,
The power of your inner knowing.
In the space of the pineal gland,
Your third eye,
Ingrain the following words by repeating three times.
Here begins the practice of yoga nidra.
I will stay awake and receive what I need.
Repeat three times.
I soften old rules to welcome new possibilities.
I fully embrace my intuition.
Embed this intention or sankalpa into the physical layer of your being.
With a detailed body scan,
I'll guide you to cycle your awareness across certain energy points on your body.
Bring your focus to that specific point and notice any sensations.
Then calm that area.
As I call out each point,
Soften it with your conscious awareness.
Start by becoming aware of the center of the upper chest,
Right where your heart is.
Become aware of the base of the throat,
Tip of the nose,
Space between the eyebrows,
Your third eye center.
Moving your awareness to your mouth,
Become aware of the tongue,

Both legs together,
The front body,
The whole heart,
The whole body,
Become aware of the whole body,
Becoming aware of the breath,
Becoming aware of the breath,
Notice the gentle rise and fall of each inhale and exhale,
Without changing anything about it.
On your next inhale,
Connect it seamlessly with the exhale,
Smoothing the transition between each breath,
Taking a relaxing variation of conscious circular breathing,
Rolling each inhale into the exhale in a circular fashion,
Almost exhaling as if each breath is cycling along an eternal wheel.
As you weave each inhale into each exhale,
Begin to visualize your breath as an ocean tide.
As you inhale,
The tide rolls in towards the shore.
Exhale,
The tide retreats back to the sea,
Seamlessly connecting each breath with the ebb and flow of the tide.
Continue this breath,
And this time notice how the tides never churn the same water.
With each pull of the tide,
Different pockets of water enter and leave.
In the same way,
Your circular breath moves small pockets of energy with each cycle,
Clearing out what is no longer needed,
And inviting something new with each breath.
In life,
It's the consistent,
Repetitive motions that create greater shifts.
It's simply up to you to notice them.
Continue this circular,
Tidal breath,
Ebbing and flowing,
Weaving inhale into exhale into inhale.
Let go of this breath,
And gently return to your natural rhythm of breathing.
We'll now experience a series of opposing feelings and sensations.
As I call out each one,
Know that you are safe to experience the feeling or sensation just as it is.
Begin by inviting the feeling of openness.
Now invite the feeling of being closed off.
Invite the sensation of heaviness.
Now invite the sensation of lightness.
Feel the sensation of being soaked in the rain.
Now feel the dryness of the desert.
Feel fluid.
Now feel solid.
Experience vulnerability.
Now experience caution.
Notice how it feels to focus on the details.
Now notice how it feels to see the bigger picture.
Feel what it's like to be intuitive.
Now feel what it's like to be logical.
Experience yourself grounded in the earth.
Now experience yourself floating into the ether.
As you float off,
Feel yourself safely suspended in the night sky by the moon,
Laying in the nook of its soft crescent shape.
As you connect your body into the moon,
Feel it renewing you,
Cleansing you of all the doubt and lack of trust.
The moon lifts you closer to the sky above,
Closer to the stars and the unknown universe.
Then a sparkling,
Glowing thread begins to grow from the pineal gland,
The space deep within your forehead,
Where both hemispheres of your brain connect.
As this thread expands out of your brain and towards the stars,
It forms a bridge to universal energy,
Connecting you to your spirit that exists in the ether of the grand universe.
From the space deep within your higher mind,
Your pineal gland,
Begin to radiate gratitude to the moon for all it has served you.
This gratitude permeates the cognitive parts of your brain.
It's not something you need to force your mind to do.
It just simply embodies gratitude for the presence of this new moon.
Gratitude for this new beginning,
To call in new intentions.
Now repeat again this new intention three times.
I soften old rules to welcome new possibilities.
I fully embrace my intuition.
Begin to slowly bring your awareness back into your body without moving or changing anything at all.
Just become aware of the outline and the shape of your body and the space it takes up.
Begin to send your breath into this space,
This container,
Sacred vessel of your body,
Holding your life,
Your unique frequency.
As the breath gets a little bit bigger,
Feel life coursing through the veins and vessels of your body.
Begin to wiggle the fingers and toes,
Feeling into the life of this movement.
As more and more life enters your body through the breath,
More and more movement occurs in the body,
Rolling the wrists,
Rolling the ankles,
Maybe rolling the head side to side.
When you're ready to complete your practice,
You can very gently blink the eyes open,
Bringing the light back into your space,
Your field of awareness.
Take a moment to observe and gather your surroundings through the eyes.
Then bringing both hands to heart center in prayer,
Anjali Mudra.
You can tilt the chin in slightly,
Bowing third eye towards your fingers to honor yourself in this practice.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
Thank you so much for joining me on this journey.
