So if you're not driving and you can spare three or four minutes now,
A relationship that is causing you stress or a situation at work or a health issue could be virtually anything,
But just choose one thing that you feel you're not allowing it to be as it is.
And notice how it feels in your body as you think about this thing that you're holding onto.
Notice where in your body you might be feeling tense,
Your face,
Your chest,
Notice your breathing.
And as you notice any tension in your body that comes up as you think about this issue,
See if you can first just allow that tension to be there.
And as you allow it to be there,
Notice if it changes.
Even if it doesn't change,
You're allowing it to be there is taking off a level of stress.
And then with this issue,
Notice that you have resistance to it being in your life,
Whatever the issue is.
Feel that resistance or notice it in some way.
And ask yourself,
Could I allow this to be exactly as it is?
Notice what comes up as you ask that question.
You can also ask yourself,
Could I let go of resisting this being as it is?
You might even take the letting go deeper by asking,
Could I welcome this being exactly as it is?
Like a fist unclenching,
Notice if you can feel something in your body,
Mind,
Emotions,
Or spirit that stops clutching and kind of relaxes.
You might even get to the place where you say,
I welcome and look forward to this situation being as it is.
And finally,
See if you can notice what all this is appearing to.
The background of your awareness,
All this resisting or allowing all your thoughts,
Physical sensations are all appearing to pure awareness.
Allow yourself to rest as that.
And when you're ready,
Very,
Very slowly,
You can begin to open your eyes,
Looking out through the eyes of awareness,
Present to a world of time and space.
As you look out,
You also are aware of who or what is looking.
And hopefully you feel the peace of that.
