Good morning.
My name is Brenda,
And I'll be guiding you today through an uplifting morning meditation.
As you're slowly waking up or making your way out of bed,
Feel free to stay lying down or position yourself upright,
Where your spine is elongated and your head is right above your heart.
And as you're making your way there,
Just notice the areas that are making contact to earth or something that's grounding and supportive.
Perhaps it's your feet.
Perhaps it's your seat,
Your sits bones,
Maybe even your shoulders in the back of your head are feeling some type of support.
And then as we're moving through this uplifting meditation,
Feel free to adjust your body and do anything that your body may need in order to feel its most comfortable and its most best self.
Take a nice big breath in through your nose,
Hold the breath at the top and let it out the mouth.
Feeling that freshness come into the body.
Again like that,
Breathe in through the nose,
Hold the breath at the top and let the breath go.
One more big one like that.
Breathe in through the nose,
Hold the breath at the top and let it out the mouth.
Feel those big breaths begin to invigorate you and fuel you into this new day.
And start to create a nice rhythm with your breath.
It's no longer that big or it's no longer that exaggerated.
It's a nice internal breathing in through the nose and breathing out the nose.
Breathing in the nose and breathing out the nose.
Just follow that cadence a little bit more.
We'll start to tune in internally into our body by drawing our attention inward and moving up the body in a very upward or uplifting intention.
So we'll start at the tips of our toes and bring your attention there or if your feet are grounded to the floor,
Feel that earth,
That support once again.
Good and then start to bring your awareness up the feet through the heels,
Through the ankles,
The shins,
The calves,
The knees.
Feel this lifting action up the thighs and the hips up the sideways,
Right around lifting up through the armpits,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your head is elongating and neck is elongating up.
The top of your head feels lifted and you're coming back just slowly down to parts of the face,
Forehead is softened.
It's waking up.
The eyelids are waking up,
Moving down the sides of your face,
The cheeks,
Jaw line,
Tip of your chin,
Throat,
Front of your chest and your heart.
Just imagine this nice wide spacious heart.
You can imagine a color there and you can imagine an image there if that comes easier to you.
Just imagine this area of receiving.
This area right in front of the heart is open and receptive to this new day,
Willing to receive,
Willing to accept a space of an open heart also in vice,
A space of an open mind.
And so we connect those two mind and heart even with that just a nice intention of open mind and open heart.
You need to breathe in and breathe out.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Just feel this lightness enter your body.
Imagine that your body is feeling as light as a feather.
It's floating up ready to receive the day.
Take a big breath in,
Hold the breath at the top again and let it out the mouth.
Feel free to start to maybe tip the chin down if you're seated,
Blink those eyes open a few times,
Very slow.
Welcome yourself back into the space by looking at the different colors,
Lifting the chin up,
Observing the room,
The space that you're in and seeing the colors around you,
Absorbing them around you and observing them.
Bring your palms together at your heart space,
Tipping your chin down in gratitude for yourself and gratitude for showing up to your practice here this morning.
And perhaps you come back to this practice again and again when you need it as a way to set the tone for yourself,
For the day and maybe for anybody else that's around you and can tune into your intentions.
Thank you so much and I'm so glad you tuned in today.
