Begin by finding a comfortable seated position feeling your back straight If you are able to do this seated and your feet planted firmly on the floor take some slow deliberate breaths in and out Through your nose allow your shoulders to drop down and relax Allow the breath to come in and out at your own comfortable rhythm.
See if you can recall a time in your life When you felt perfectly content in the moment when you weren't trying to achieve anything When you felt very present when you didn't have a feeling of needing to do anything But could just be as you are perhaps this was a time when you were on vacation Or out in nature sitting on your porch on a sunny day Or perhaps a time when you were a child playing outdoors or running in the sand if nothing comes to mind see if you can take yourself to such a time now and Feel that in this moment Everything is okay.
Give yourself permission to let go of your to-do list for a few minutes Let go of needing to be or look or act a certain way let go of needing to do anything for anyone else Notice what that feels like in your body If you are recalling a memory of feeling this way in an earlier point in your life Put yourself back there now take some time to experience in your body what this feeling of satisfaction is like Allow this feeling to grow inside of you You may choose to combine this with a feeling of gratitude for whatever blessings and goodness you have in your life now Now when you are ready,
Take a moment to imagine yourself as a newborn Who just came into the world?
How might you view this newborn?
How about you hold this newborn?
How might you feel towards this newborn?
See if you can experience a sense of this newborn as Perfect and whole just as they are if this is difficult for you to imagine about yourself See if you can imagine someone else that you care about as a newborn coming into the world Can you experience a sense of that baby as perfect and whole just as he or she is?
Can you sense a feeling of unconditional love and acceptance towards that baby?
Holding on to that feeling see if you can bring that feeling to yourself now.
Can you experience?
Even some small part of yourself that despite your imperfections You are okay Just the way you are if you're able to experience this notice how it feels in your body This sense of I am okay Just as I am if you are having difficulty experiencing this see if you can Go experience this for someone you care about and allow this feeling to become familiar within you Continue to invite in a feeling of unconditional love and acceptance towards yourself without forcing anything See if you might be able to experience even some piece of this feeling within your body right now as you allow for a feeling of Complete acceptance just right now in this moment for who you are nothing to change nothing to do cultivating a feeling of satisfaction In this moment here and now bringing your awareness back Now into your body noticing any sensations That are present follow the rhythm of your breath as it flows in and as it flows out be aware of any places in your body that feel more open Spacious or relaxed now take several slower deeper and more intentional breaths bringing your awareness Into the soles of your feet feeling them resting on the floor taking your time Bringing your awareness back into the room when you are ready
