This is a guided exercise which will reveal consciousness as a unified experience inside of awareness.
And we can begin by just noticing the things that we see.
And wherever I look,
I see information in the room I'm in,
Outside,
All around my body,
Including my body.
And all of these objects,
These things,
Exist in different places.
When I look around,
I see different things in different places.
If I shift my attention from what I see to awareness,
I can begin to notice that everything I see is actually inside the experience of being aware.
If it was outside,
I wouldn't be able to be aware of it,
Would I?
So my whole visual field is actually here,
Inside the experience of being aware.
What happens for you when you notice this?
I become aware of my hearing,
All the sounds that I hear.
And again,
These sounds have different sources and exist in different places.
And I have this amazing ability to find and locate,
Track where all these different sounds are coming from.
And I shift my attention more towards the experience of being aware.
I notice all of the sounds that I hear are inside this experience of being aware.
Again,
That's why I can hear them,
Because they're inside my awareness.
If they were outside my awareness,
I wouldn't be able to hear them.
In this sense,
There's only one source for the sounds that I hear.
There's only one location.
All of the sounds are here,
Inside awareness.
What happens when you shift your focus in this way?
How does that affect your experience?
I can feel my body as a physical object,
From my feet up to my head.
And if I focus on my body,
It feels like I am inside my body.
I feel all the sensations,
Emotions,
Perhaps thoughts that are inside this experience,
Inside the boundary of my body.
My body has an inside and an outside.
And I am inside my body.
And now I shift my attention to this awareness.
And I notice a relaxation of my boundaries.
A sense that this awareness,
This I am,
Is actually larger than my body.
My body has boundaries.
Does awareness have boundaries?
What happens when I look for the boundaries of my awareness?
From here,
It feels like my body is inside of awareness,
Or my body is inside the experience of I am.
If my body is inside the experience of I am,
What am I?
What does it feel like to be I?
An I with no boundaries.
