This meditation will guide you home to your true self or your higher self,
Who you really are underneath all the layers we acquire over the years.
Getting reacquainted with your higher self supports you in living an intuitive and intentional life that is in alignment with who you really are.
To begin,
Find a comfortable seated or reclined meditation posture.
Gently close your eyes and begin following your breath,
Inhaling and exhaling through the nose.
Notice how it feels to breathe in this moment.
And now I invite you to take three healing breaths,
Visualizing a beautiful white healing light coming into your being,
Pausing and holding the light in,
And then slowly exhaling out anything that no longer serves you at this time.
Take two more breaths in this way.
Feel free to resume normal breathing at this time.
And now I'd like you to start letting go of your day,
Letting go of your morning,
Your afternoon or your evening,
And all of your plans in the future.
And just allow yourself to be present with your current surroundings and your breath.
Now you will begin letting go of the physical body.
And the way you start to do so is by consciously releasing any tension or holding you may feel in your muscles,
Joints or organs.
Begin with the top of your head,
Then move down into the muscles of the face,
The brow,
The jaw,
The mouth,
The tongue,
Consciously releasing any tension you feel in the muscles of your neck,
Your shoulders,
Down your arms and out your hands.
Starting to feel a beautiful wave of softening in the chest and the abdomen.
And then moving into the muscles of the back,
Just giving them a rest from holding you upright.
Moving down into the hips,
The glutes,
The hamstrings,
The quadriceps,
The calf muscles,
The feet and the toes.
You can even guide your internal organs to soften at this time,
Letting the body know this is a safe space for healing,
For rest and for release.
So now that you've surrendered the body,
We can start surrendering the mind.
And the way we start to do so is by releasing all of the different roles that you play in your life.
So whether it is your role as daughter or son,
Mother or father,
All the roles within your career or your friendships,
Just starting to set all those different roles aside,
Not having to be any one of them here in this moment.
And once you set those roles aside,
You start to set aside all the different stories that go along with each one of those roles.
Whether they're stories you've been telling for years or stories you've been telling for days.
Just set aside all of the roles and stories of your life.
You can become these roles and stories again when you finish your meditation,
If you choose,
But just for now,
Not having to be any one of them.
So now that you have surrendered the parts of yourself that are temporary,
Your body and your mind,
You've created more space to tune into the part of yourself that is infinite and eternal,
Your higher self.
This is you with all of your gifts that you have to share with others and with the world.
It is the true essence of your soul,
Who you really are.
You are love.
You are compassion.
You are gratitude.
You are peaceful.
And I invite you now to spend a few minutes staying connected to your higher self.
This part of you that is infinite and eternal,
Keeping your ears open to hearing your own inner wisdom and truth,
Where you have all the answers inside of yourself already.
Sometimes you just need to be quiet and still enough to listen.
