Whenever we feel negative emotions like guilt or fear, it's an indication that we are separate from the divine in and around us. It's a tip from the universe that we are in a lower state of consciousness and that we need to take care of ourselves and come back to the divinity within us again. What do you think? How do you feel when you are feeling guilty? Now compare it to how you feel when you are feeling good about yourself and your place in the world?

Hello everyone,

I hope that you're doing amazing wherever you are in the world.

My name is Bhoom Shaka and I welcome you to my Soul of White Immense membership site.

I'm really grateful for all the new members who have joined in.

And if you have any questions,

Obviously message me anytime and ask me whatever you want.

And if you have any videos you want me to do,

Please let me know as well.

So recently I've started reading this book.

I don't know if you've heard of it,

Maybe you have.

It's a very popular spiritual book,

Or journey I would say,

Because it's huge.

It's a huge,

Huge volume of collection of books.

And it's called A Course in Miracles.

And it was actually transmitted,

Or I don't know how to say it,

But a woman actually wrote it down because she heard the voice,

Or she heard a voice in her head that told her to write this book down.

And it was just dictated to her,

And she just sat down and she just wrote it out.

I don't remember the name of the person now,

But I'm just reading renditions of it.

So I'm just kind of reading some interpretations by other people of A Course in Miracles and how to live it.

Because there's a lot,

From what I understand and from what I'm reading,

There's a lot to The Course in Miracles.

It's enormous,

There's a lot of knowledge in there.

And there's a lot that you could take away from it,

And you could live The Course in Miracles for the rest of your life and still not be able to inculcate all of its learnings and all of its teachings.

So it's a massive,

Massive endeavor.

So instead of actually going to the book directly,

I kind of just went to interpretations of it.

So I'm reading this version by John Mundy,

J-O-N John Mundy,

M-U-N-D-Y.

And I really like his rendition of it because he is very practical about it and he really makes it simple to understand.

And so I just,

As time goes on,

As I read different parts of it,

I'm just going to share different bits of it with you and then what I got from it so I can share my learnings from it.

And the first thing that I really loved about The Teachings of The Course in Miracles is that it really talks a lot about how guilt is one of the most useless and separating emotions that are out there.

And I never actually even thought about it that way,

You know,

I never thought of guilt as such a terrible emotion to have.

In fact,

Sometimes,

You know,

People even say that guilt is a good thing,

You know,

It helps you grow and it helps you become better than where you were before.

And I've done videos on how guilt and shame are,

You know,

Pretty much used interchangeably but they're very different from each other.

But The Course in Miracles says that one of the main ways that you separate yourself from God or from,

You know,

Divine source is by these negative emotions,

Particularly grievances and guilt.

Those are the two things that they mention over and over again.

Avoid grievances and avoid feeling guilt because that will help you get away from this separation that you feel from whatever entity you believe in.

It doesn't really matter the name.

And one of the things that I really loved about that was,

You know,

Once I started thinking about how guilt has played a major role in a lot of the different things I've done in my life,

It became clear,

Pretty evident actually,

That a lot of the things I've done in my life have been because of guilt,

Not because I actually wanted to do them.

And this is just part of what I,

You know,

What I gathered or what I concluded but I'll just share this bit with you.

So I was kind of thinking about,

You know,

Why did I go to university or why did I get my masters or why did I even move to Chiang Mai perhaps even?

It's really interesting because if you go really deep into every action that you take or I've taken and I kind of go back and say,

Okay,

Why did I do this particular thing?

You know,

Why am I doing these videos?

Why do a lot of it,

If I really dig down deep,

Perhaps could be contributed to guilt if I really,

Really dig down deep and think about it.

Now,

Of course,

My big thing right now as I'm living into 2021,

I'm really trying to go back and see,

Okay,

What am I doing?

Why am I doing this?

Do I really need to do this?

It's really realized that I want to do things because I want to do them,

Not because I think that's going to get me somewhere or because someone wants me to do them or I believe that it's my responsibility or my karma to do it or whatever it might be.

As long as I'm using guilt in order to motivate myself to do the things that I'm doing,

They're tainted somehow.

It just feels separating,

As they say in the book.

And from that comes the idea that if you want to start living life in a more direct fashion,

You know,

You're kind of living life right as it happens rather than being a little bit separate from it,

You know,

Taking a step back away from it or creating this kind of wall between you and life.

The main thing you need to realize is you need to start feeling guilty about everything.

And it's,

I feel like as I was thinking about it,

Even thinking about applying it to my own life,

I'm thinking about how difficult it is as a human being to not feel guilty or shame even or any of those negative emotions.

It kind of just pops up so naturally in a lot of cases.

I think as a child or as a baby perhaps you don't feel guilty.

But as soon as you start learning about emotions or learning about the self and learning about separation,

Instantaneously guilt,

Shame,

Embarrassment,

Anxiety,

Fear,

All of those things come up and they become a natural part of how you react to the world,

You know.

And so I'm not saying that I have any of the answers obviously but I really do like the idea of,

You know,

Looking at everything that you're doing and really trying to pinpoint,

Okay,

Am I doing this because of guilt?

Is guilt the cause of me doing these videos or is it the cause of me moving to Bali or is it the cause of me dressing the way I dress?

There's so many different things involved in it and I mean I don't think it's just a black and white answer but it's a really good way to go deeper into your motivations and to figure out,

Okay,

Why do I do the things I do?

Now this is just a brief part of what they said about guilt.

There's a lot more to guilt that The Course in Miracles speaks about and I do recommend if you do ever run into John Mundy's stuff that to read his because he really makes it so simple to understand.

And as I said,

I'll keep on talking a lot about other things that he speaks about in the book.

Like I said,

Grievances is a big one that he says,

You know,

Forgiveness is a huge one.

Give up grievances and forgive,

Forgive,

Forgive.

That's a huge part of the spiritual journey and so I've spoken about forgiveness many times in the past but I'm sure I'll add a bunch of other things to the videos as I learn more from the book.

If you've read the book,

By the way,

Let me know because I'd love to hear your opinions or thoughts on it.

I hadn't heard of this book until recently until a friend of mine mentioned it and I was surprised at how so many people actually know about it and it's such a huge volume of work but I had never heard of it.

It was really interesting how it really has to come to you at the right time because I know if I had heard of The Course in Miracles even a couple of years ago,

I would not have read it and I would not have understood it or I would not have resonated with it as I do right now.

So it really is so important,

The timing of the teaching.

Let me know what you think about this and I shall see you in the next one.

Thank you again for your support.

Bye for now.
