In this simple yet powerful meditation session, Insight Timer teacher and Recovery with Yoga author Brian Hyman gently guides listeners on an inward journey to find inner stillness, inner silence, and inner strength. Attention is placed on awareness of breath and the body. Let's find a comfortable position for meditation.

As you settle in,

Relax the body.

Come to find stillness as best as you can.

Close your eyes.

Take an inhale,

And exhale.

Again,

Inhale,

And exhale.

Last time,

Inhale,

And exhale.

For the next few moments,

Continue to relax your body,

Focus on your breath,

And think about coming home to yourself today,

Taking an inner journey to cultivate inner stillness and inner silence and inner strength.

As you remain still,

And breathe,

And take your inner journey,

If sounds come and go,

Let them come and go.

If thoughts,

Memories,

Ideas come and go,

Let these things come and go.

Beneath the noise of the world,

Beneath our own inner thoughts and inner noise,

There is silence,

And stillness,

And strength.

Let's find that today.

Begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Feel your physical body.

Feel where you are in space and time.

Remember where you are.

Remember who you are.

Let's take a breath together.

Inhale,

And exhale.

Let it go.

The inner strength that you found today,

The inner silence,

The inner stillness,

Take these things with you throughout your day.

Take them off your meditation cushion and out into the world.

Take your practice with you.

Make good use of it.

Utilize what you found.

Share it with others.

If your eyes are still closed,

Open your eyes.
