Transcript

Settle into a resting place.

Get comfortable in a lying position in your bed or wherever you'll sleep for tonight.

Stretch your body out.

Relax each of your muscles from the top of your head down your shoulders,

Across your back,

Each of your arms,

Your torso,

Your legs,

And finally your feet.

Breathe deeply,

Allowing your body to settle into this relaxed state.

Now from the bottom of your feet,

The top of your head,

One more time.

Make sure each of those muscles are fully relaxed.

Your feet,

Your legs,

Your torso,

Each of your arms,

Across your back,

Down your shoulders,

And the top of your head.

Are the muscles across your forehead at ease?

If not,

Ease them too.

Each of your muscles respond to your mind to relax and be at ease.

Believe you are fully relaxed right now.

Breathe heavy,

Full breaths in and out slowly.

As the day fades away,

So do your thoughts.

Nothing is more important than your rest right now.

Your rest is what you need and you are worthy of a refreshed mind and body.

Continue breathing slowly,

Slowing each breath until your mind is settled and your body is fully relaxed.

If your mind begins to drift,

Bring it back to your breathing,

The rising and falling of your chest,

The lightness in your muscles,

The ease you've created.

Stay here in this moment of rest.

Your thoughts are at ease,

Your body is relaxed,

And your breathing is slow and steady.

Although my voice will fade away,

Your breathing should continue slow and steady until you rest.
