Welcome to this morning meditation.

I designed this meditation to help you feel grounded and spacious as you move through your day.

You can begin in any comfortable seated position.

Maybe on the floor,

Cushion,

Or even a chair.

Start by sitting nice and tall.

Lengthen the spine all the way up through to the crown of your head.

Close your eyes if that's comfortable for you.

Try to let go of any thoughts.

Let go of any to-do's for today.

Your mind might start to wander throughout this meditation.

It's okay.

There's no judgment if this happens.

Think of your mind like any muscle in your body.

It must be exercised in order to gain control.

Meditation is a tool for strengthening your mind.

When you first begin a meditation practice,

It's going to be challenging,

But with time,

It will become easier.

To start off,

No matter for how long,

Simply use the moment of realization that your mind has gone someplace else as an invitation to come back into your breath and into the present moment.

Let's start by taking a deep inhale through your nose for a count of four.

Begin by inhaling for three,

Two,

One.

Exhale out your nose for three,

Two,

One.

Hold for three,

Two,

One.

Inhale three,

Two,

Exhale three,

Hold three,

Inhale three,

Exhale three,

Hold three,

Now come to any comfortable breath,

In and out through your nose.

Start to ground down through your sits bones,

Or if you're in a chair,

Through the bottom of your feet.

Picture roots growing from your body down into the earth,

Grounding you and pulling up calming energy through your feet,

Through your sits bones,

Through the base of your spine all the way up to the crown of your head.

As this energy reaches your crown,

It spills out the top of your head,

Cocooning you and protecting you in bright white light.

Breathe here in your cocoon,

In and out through your nose and let your body absorb this healing energy.

Let it fill you with love and a sense of connectedness to something greater than just yourself.

Breathing in breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

As you continue to be filled with this grounding healing energy,

You can also send it out to anybody you know that might need it.

Picture that beautiful white light raining down on the person and filling them up with a sense of peace and love.

Breathe here,

Basking in the energy of peace and stillness,

Allowing your breath to move freely in and out of your body.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Remember,

If the mind wanders,

It's okay.

Simply draw your attention back to your breath,

Back to this moment.

Breathing in and breathing out.

You need to breathe in and out through your nose and allow this energy that you've cultivated within yourself to really set the tone for your day.

Allow this energy to keep you grounded as you move throughout your day.

You may come across challenges,

Difficulties,

But this energy will keep you anchored and safe.

Know that this energy lies within you and this is your true nature.

You are a being of calm loving light and you can access this energy at any point in the day simply by returning to your breath.

Breathing here in stillness for a few more moments.

Take a few more slow deep breaths.

Relishing in the awareness of your true self and accepting yourself as you are here and now.

Keep your eyes closed and just notice how you feel compared to when you started.

Many of us have formed a habit of waking up and moving right into distractions of modern technology and stress from our lives,

But instead,

If you began each day with intention and grounding your energy,

This energy will set the tone for the rest of the day.

Try making quiet time for yourself every day.

Make this a priority so that you can show up as your best self,

As your true self.

Now gently come back into the space that you're in.

Feel the parts of your body touching the floor.

Maybe start to roll your neck side to side.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Blink your eyes open.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Namaste.
