Hi,
I'm Cassidy and today I'll be leading you through a grounding,
Centering meditation that will help you connect with the earth.
For today's meditation,
I recommend being outside,
Somewhere in nature,
But wherever you're at will do.
So just find a spot that feels comfortable to you,
Whether that's standing up for more energy,
Sitting on the ground or in a chair,
Or lying down.
Wherever you're at,
Just relax the shoulders,
Send energy up through the crown of the head to lengthen the spine.
Soften the jaw and then maybe you close the eyes.
Maybe you just find a soft gaze.
Wherever you're at,
Bring the hands or the fingertips onto the ground.
Take a moment to notice the other parts of the body that are making contact with the earth.
Take a big inhale through the nose,
Feel the belly fill up.
Exhale back out of the nose,
Nice and slow.
With your next inhale,
Feeling that earth element flow into you through those points of contact,
The fingertips,
The hands,
Wherever else is making contact with the ground.
On your exhale,
Grounding down back into the earth.
Inhale,
Taking in the energy of your environment.
Exhale,
Softening,
Settling in,
Extending your roots into the ground below you.
And continue this cycle on your own.
Long inhales draw energy in from the earth.
And deep exhales ground you back into this space.
So you're feeling safe,
Comfortable,
And secure.
Knowing that you're fully supported and protected.
With your next inhale,
Inviting in the color red.
Expanding from the root chakra area,
The lower pelvis,
And spreading throughout the whole body like a warm blanket.
Safe,
Comfortable,
Secure.
Exhale,
Grounding in.
Invite the sense of grounding and centering in,
Allowing it to wash over the whole body.
Visualizing the color red.
And knowing that you are safe,
Comfortable,
And secure.
Notice the sensations around you.
Notice what fills up all five of the senses.
What can you hear?
What can you smell?
What can you feel?
Maybe it's the sun on your skin.
Or maybe the gentle breeze of the wind.
The birds chirping.
What sensations are present in this moment?
What is the earth providing you with on this day?
Right here and right now.
With your inhale,
Feel yourself opening up to receive the gifts of the earth.
On your exhale,
Softening.
Inhale,
Taking that earth energy in and feeling yourself expand like flowers blooming in the spring.
Exhale,
Bring a softness across the body.
Like grass gently swaying on a windy day.
Bring the hands or the fingertips back to the ground if they aren't already there.
With your next inhale,
Invite gratitude in.
Gratitude for the earth and for everything that it gives you.
Exhale,
Send the energy,
That gratitude,
Down and out the fingertips into the earth.
Inhale,
Fill up with gratitude.
Exhale,
Send that gratitude to the earth.
I am thankful for the earth,
For the life and the gifts it gives me.
Repeat that to yourself with each breath.
I am thankful for the earth,
For the gifts and the life that it gives me.
And continue to sit with the breath,
Sitting with this sense of deep gratitude for our earth.
Inhale,
Taking in energy from below.
Exhale,
Settle in.
Inhale,
Take in energy from the sky above.
Exhale,
Release.
Feeling connected to the earth and inviting its energy to fill you up and awaken your mind and body.
And as you take in the earth's energy,
Thinking about Ahimsa non-harming,
How can you tread lightly upon the earth to think about the earth?
Inhale,
Take in energy from the earth.
Exhale,
How can you tread lightly upon the earth to thank it for its gifts?
How can you help to create an earth that will continue to provide for and nourish generations to come?
Inhale,
Set an intention of non-harming towards the earth.
Exhale.
Start to bring some gentle movement back into the body.
Maybe blinking open the eyes and taking in the sensations of the earth around you.
We'll close out our practice with one final breath.
Inhale through the nose,
Fill up.
Exhale,
Sigh it out.
Exhale,
Sigh it out.
Thank you so much for joining me and I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day.
