When we are feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, love can be a powerful form of healing. In this meditation, we will turn toward love as medicine, offering it to ourselves first, and allowing it to restore balance and ease. Through gentle awareness and intention, we will invite compassion to soothe what feels tender and reconnect us with a sense of wholeness.

Take a moment to fully settle your body into the space.

Noticing where your body might need a little attention.

A little softness.

And just breathing into any areas of tightness.

And noticing where your body needs that softer or gentler touch.

Now bringing your attention to your breath.

And on your next breath,

Imagine breathing into and out from your heart space.

Keeping your attention on the area of your heart.

And bringing to mind something or someone you feel appreciation or care for.

As you continue to breathe into and out from your heart space.

Today we are going to focus our attention on a little bit of self love.

Because love is medicine.

Healing happens when we fully love ourselves.

Emotional and physical healing.

And we must turn the compassion that we have for others towards ourselves.

Let's start by committing today to simply show ourselves the same kindness as we show others.

And recognise that we deserve as much care and rest and support as we expect for others.

And let's recognise that our needs matter.

And when you honour your needs,

There is no need for guilt.

And we can make space for more love when we forgive ourselves.

When we fail to forgive ourselves,

We block off a lot of those renewing and positive emotions.

Because we tell ourselves we don't deserve them.

Many of the things we don't forgive ourselves for are just things that we did to stay safe,

To feel safe.

Just automatic response.

Our body,

Our mind just trying to protect us.

So repeat these words.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

I love you.

And repeat that as often as you need to.

And commit to forgive yourself.

And little by little,

Your body will believe it.

And let's repeat some affirmations.

I am learning to treat myself with the same kindness I offer others.

I deserve care,

Rest and support.

I forgive myself for the moments I didn't know better.

I can begin again any moment.

So remembering to choose again.

Doesn't matter how many times in the day,

I choose again.

I treat myself with respect.

I deserve care.

I forgive myself.

I choose again.

I am worthy of love.

I welcome compassion into my life.

I give myself permission to slow down,

To breathe,

To listen to what I need now.

Just allowing all of those positive statements to land into your body.

And bringing to mind again,

That person,

That pet,

Whatever it is in your life that you feel appreciation and care for.

And just sit with that feeling.

Hopefully it makes you smile a little.

Breathing into and out from your heart space.

And remembering that how you see this person,

This thing in your life,

Is how you should look at yourself.

With that same care,

With that same appreciation for all that you do.

Put a hand on your heart and make that commitment,

That every day you will be kinder to yourself.

Every day you will have more compassion.

And you will show yourself love.

Because remember that love is medicine.

It is the easiest way to contribute to your healing.

No more judgement.

No more self-criticism.

Just love.

Breathing into and out from your heart space.

Connecting with that love.

Coming into that higher vibration.

And bringing it with you all through your day.

Sharing it.

If you feel the desire to.

That your inner state is fully within your control.

Choosing your thoughts,

Choosing your emotions.

That commitment.

That acknowledgement.

That you can decide to have a great inner day.

Taking a final big deep breath in.

And exhaling.

Feeling that glow.

Coming into your body,

Recognising and acknowledging your wonderful body.

That's going to take you through the day.

Feeling your feet on the ground.

Noticing your fingers and your toes.

And when you're ready,

Opening your eyes.

Ready for your day.
