**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listening attentively and with humility. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

Transcript

A mind which is trapped in layers and layers of abstraction is violent.

The life is totally based on abstraction,

Thoughts,

Images,

Ideas,

All kinds what should be,

What should not be.

So the mental stability depends on the reaction to these thoughts,

Ideas,

Concepts.

Such a mind is vulnerable because all those concept ideas are thoughts.

Thoughts are never stable,

Thoughts are always changing.

Also a mind which depends on the abstraction is also unstable,

Which becomes a seed of violence.

A mind that's living in abstraction is living in oscillation,

Being oscillated by thoughts,

Ideas,

Its own idiosyncrasy,

Illusions.

The mind is trapped in its own world,

And such a mind is full of self-projection,

Imposing views,

Opinions,

Ideas,

Images on others,

Because the mind does it according to its own conditioning,

Its own idea,

What should be,

What should not be.

And such an imposition is a form of aggression,

It's part of the violence.

And such a mind can't see this violence,

Which means that a violent mind can't see its violence.

When the mind can see its violence,

The mind stops being violent.

That's why it is so essential to inquire into the self,

To see the violence we have,

To end the violence when the mind sees clearly,

End the self when the mind sees the mischief created by the self.

Needed to hear this. Absolutely essential for me. I’m going to listen to this again and again at different times.
