
Spiritual Tools To Overcome Fear
Fear is a very negative influence that happens during stressful times. During the last 2 years, fear has become more prevalent. Fear has many bad side effects, but with the spiritual tools available to us when we practice meditation and breathing we can do a lot to face and eliminate much fear in our life.

Aloha,
I'm Reverend Cindy Palas and today we're going to do a deep dive with the talk and meditation into how we can face our fears and use our inner tools and our spiritual awareness to overcome the influences of fear.
You know,
Fear is present many times in our life,
But it's how we face and deal and decide to react or not react to fear that actually makes us a stronger and better person.
You gain strength,
Courage,
And confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
And if we really allow ourselves to look fear in the face,
We can find that there is that dark shadow of fear that can easily be put into overload,
Into the fight or flight stance which we face so often in these COVID-19 days.
It was said by John Lennon,
There are two basic motivating forces,
Fear and love.
When we are afraid,
We pull back from life.
When we're in love,
We open to all that life has to offer with passion,
Excitement,
And acceptance.
We need to learn to love ourselves first in all of our glory and our imperfections.
If we cannot love ourselves,
We cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in fearlessness and the open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.
So don't we want to embrace life?
Remember when you were a child and you were in a dark room and you thought there was a monster in the room and you'd call out and your parent would come and turn the light on the room and you'd see there really wasn't a monster under your bed or in the closet.
And all of that fear was just in your mind.
There's reasons that we have fear so prevalent.
If we go back to the earliest Neanderthal forefathers,
They actually had a fear center and that fear center,
I'm a g'dalla,
I hope I'm pronouncing that right,
It served them very well.
They had many issues.
If you have a dinosaur just outside your cave,
You need to have a little fear.
But we have our brain still wired a lot like the Stone Age ancestors.
We are free of many lions and tigers and bears now,
But in their place we have COVID-19,
Job stress,
Money problems,
Relationship issues,
And they can trigger our fight or flight fear response.
Now we know that studies point that stress is one of the number one causes of disease.
So we need to be able to deal and program our mind away from fear.
Fear sees only the downside of things.
Fear doesn't let you stop and think things through.
Fear tells us to avoid anything new or unknown.
Fear constricts us rather than expands who we are.
Fear can block your intuition.
In fact,
Fear can keep you from making any decision at all.
But in life we have to make decisions and we have to take risks and we have to be able to face change.
We've seen that life has changed drastically in the last few years.
So we need to be able to be facing and looking right in the face of our fear.
And we have to know the actual threat versus just the illusion or the thought of it.
Now our mind is such a powerful,
Powerful force.
We do know that.
You know,
We were actually born with only the response to two fear factors,
Which surprised me when I did research on this.
People are born with the fear of loud noise and of falling.
Now,
I guess I can understand why that would be important to a child.
But on top of that,
If you add the fact that our human brain loves to kind of figure out and predict what's coming,
So we try to maybe predict a dangerous situation.
And maybe we often predict that situation incorrectly and it's not really a dangerous situation.
And our mind can actually put us through information overload.
I know you've experienced that.
I do often.
I think social media adds to that quite often.
And social media,
Actually,
A lot of it's based on finding out that when people have a post on fear,
It gets more attention.
So people will post things that create and activate fear.
So what we need to do is gain control of our mind,
Gain control of that part of us that can get out of control,
Gain control of ourselves to not react to fear that is just a perceived fear.
And once we know how to meditate,
Once we understand what causes stress,
Once we understand the tools we're going through in this course,
You can use those tools to program your mind to overcome fear,
The fear that isn't real,
The fear that is an illusion.
We know we can do that in some of the same ways we did when we were looking at stress,
By listening to music that is uplifting and calming,
By meditating,
By watching our breath,
Such an important tool.
By breathing,
We can actually sweep our mind and reprogram our thoughts.
And it's so easy if you find yourself getting stressed and the red flag of fear pops up,
You can easily just do some even square breathing,
Breathing in for the count of four,
Holding for the count of four,
And breathing out to the count of four,
And holding out to the count of four,
And just breathing.
And you will find if you do that for just a few minutes,
You can totally change the way your mind is reacting.
And we know that if we stop and take a walk and pause and get out and exercise,
We can also reduce our stress and fear.
We can also possibly not go to social media as often if we're already under stress.
We can also just go and let ourselves feel good.
We can smile.
It's such a wonderful gift to smile.
And of course,
We can be grateful.
Such an amazing,
Powerful tool,
Being grateful,
Right?
So we're going to do a few of those with a lovely meditation together.
We're going to turn on the light in that dark room,
And we're going to allow that light to shine so bright that it takes away the darkness and the fear.
And we're going to just allow ourselves to feel good and to face what may be going on in our hidden fears.
So let's take some wonderful deep breaths.
Just again,
Getting comfortable,
Seeing if you can get your spine erect,
And just breathing in.
Just breathing in light to the count of four,
Holding that light in your head for the count of four,
And letting that light fill your body as you breathe out to the count of four,
Holding it out for the count of four,
And breathing love in as we breathe up to the count of four,
Holding that love,
And breathing out to the count of four,
Allowing that love to fill your body all through your whole body and your mind,
And just relaxing further and further.
And now let's do a body scan.
I love the body scans because we might think we have some tension,
But tension can fool you.
You can have tension and not even be aware of it if you're not aware of your breath,
Which many times you aren't.
You certainly aren't aware of your tension until you take some time to scan your body.
We're going to breathe in and allow yourself to let your mind be totally released from any tension.
Feel your head,
Your eyes,
Your ears,
Your nose,
Your jaw.
If there's any tension,
Just let it go.
Let it go,
Let it go,
Let it go.
And breathe in and put light into that part of your body and your mind that was filled with tension.
Breathing in again and sensing your neck area.
These store tension there.
Feel your neck.
Just let your neck go to the side,
A little either side and up and bring your head down.
Is there any tension in your neck area?
Just let that tension go.
Let it go and let it glow with light.
Ah,
Doesn't that feel good?
Take a sigh and just release that tension.
And now go into your heart.
Is there any part of your heart that is afraid,
Afraid of what's going on,
Afraid of love?
Just breathe in to your heart.
And allow that light to shine in your heart with love.
Let it radiate that love out to fill your entire torso,
Your mind,
Your whole body until you're completely surrounded in a lovely love light that extends six feet up,
Six feet down,
Six feet out,
Horizontally and vertically until you're surrounded in a wonderful,
Beautiful bubble of light that protects you from anything that you may think can hurt you.
Now put a gold light around that for extra healing protection.
And we call upon our guardian angels to protect us as well.
And now since your whole torso and your third chakra,
All those poor organs that get stressed out,
Your liver,
Your kidneys,
Your stomach,
Let that gold light spill and spin and be through all of those beautiful organs,
Energizing them with light and love.
Ah,
And now come down into the center that holds fear very often,
Your emotional center,
The second chakra,
And allow it to be totally surrounded and filled with the peach light full of love.
Is there any fears and tension in your lower back or your pelvic areas or any shadows of fear that you've left there?
And light to all of that part of your second chakra,
Completely enlightening all of that energy there.
And now let's go to the base chakra,
The ruby red base that sometimes does hold fear and can be related to fear.
The ruby red cleanses away any of the shadows of the other red that is the fear light.
Light up the entire base root chakra with that ruby red light that is so beautiful.
See a flower of ruby red light there in your root chakra enlightening you.
Ah,
Now let that light go into your legs and your knees and your calves and your ankles and your feet.
Make sure all of your shoulders and your arms and your limbs are relaxed.
And now just feel good.
Just feel love.
You are now completely purified in your entire aura and you can go to that center of your true love and light,
Your soul.
Go to that soul within and dwell there in that protected objective observer space and say thank you to your soul for protecting and watching out over you lifetime after lifetime.
And now look from that point of your objective observer and see if there's any hidden fears that you would like to release.
What comes to you?
Are any of the buttons that might get pushed quite often?
Do you sense what buttons get pushed?
If anything comes up,
Please send that light and love to those points in you that are sensitive,
That get very,
Very angry easily or very full of stress and send light and love and strength to that beautiful area and let it be healed.
And now let's further go to that soul and go to the light that lights the soul,
The sun,
The source of all.
Go to that place,
That place within the silence.
Let go,
Let go and let God be in control.
If there was any problems that you felt were there,
Just let them go.
You have now the greatest power in the universe waiting right there for you to call upon.
That power is always there to serve you,
To guide you,
To help you in life.
Make a connection.
Make a connection with that point within and thank that point within for always being there to call upon,
To use it anytime you might need it.
Say thank you,

Thank you.
And now knowing that come back,
Slowly come back from your soul to your mind to your whole body,
Your emotions and feel yourself renewed and redeemed and restored and totally full of love and clear.
