Hi there,

This is Clemens from MindAnchor and today I would like to invite you for a gratitude meditation.

Gratitude has become such a buzzword over the past years and there's a reason for that.

Gratitude is one of the basics that allows us to actually stand still for a moment and be thankful for what we already have rather than the constant focus of we still need to be happy.

So to get started I would like to invite you to find a comfortable position that's upright on your chair or your cushion and once you got comfortable you can gently close your eyes and for a moment just ground yourself here letting go of anything from the past,

Letting go of any plans in the future,

Simply arriving to how you feel right now.

Noticing your body,

Any sensations,

Noticing your mind,

Any thoughts,

Noticing your emotions and then let's slightly shift the focus and I would like to bring a question into the room and the question is what are you grateful for right now?

And let's start with finding gratitude for your body.

What in your body are you grateful for right now?

Is there any body part that you are particularly grateful for?

Perhaps a body function like your heart beating,

Or your stomach digesting food,

Or your lungs filling up with air and whatever comes up for you just stand still with that for a moment and really feel it,

And really tune into it.

What are you grateful for in your body right now?

What do you notice as you find this gratitude for your body?

What is happening in your body as you are grateful for it?

Now letting go of the body and finding gratitude for the things in our life.

It could be anything from our clothes that give us warmth,

Coziness,

To a bicycle or a car that brings us from A to B.

Perhaps a book that you've been reading that you are really enjoying.

What are you grateful for about the things in your life?

And again fully tuning into each and every item you're grateful for,

And really feeling that gratitude,

Feeling it in your heart,

In your entire body.

And now letting go of the things in your life and finding gratitude for the people in your life.

Who are you grateful for right now?

Is it a family member,

Your partner,

Friend,

Perhaps a stranger that made your day a bit better by smiling at you or letting you cross the street?

Who are you grateful for right now?

And once again,

Allowing yourself to fully experience that gratitude with your entire body.

And then slowly coming back to the room,

Coming back into your body,

Noticing your breath,

Rising and falling,

Bringing some very gentle movement into your fingertips,

Into your toes.

And once you feel ready,

You can gently open your eyes again.

Welcome back,

And today I would like to invite you to bring some extra gratitude into your day,

Into your interactions with other people,

And see what that does with your experience.

Thank you for trusting me.

Have a beautiful day.

You
