In this short and simple guided meditation we practice the remarkably powerful principle of acceptance and surrender. By giving ourselves permission to simply allow things to be as they are we find the mind can begin to rest as it no longer needs to engage in so much analysis or attempts to control the inner and outer world. Through this powerful surrender into Now one finds peace and serenity. Ironically finding the happiness and joy that the mind previously sought through analysis and control.

Welcome to this guided meditation for finding true inner peace.

Open your awareness to the here and now.

Just becoming fully aware of the present moment.

Everything present in your experience in the inner and outer world Just a sense of being aware of this.

Just observing this.

And for the next 10 minutes,

Just let everything be exactly as it already is.

Nothing to change.

Nothing to alter in any way.

Just a sense that all is well,

Exactly as it is.

Reality is simply unfolding the way that reality naturally unfolds.

Just stay out of the whole process,

As though nothing has anything to do with you at all.

Just let the outside world be as it is.

Let the inside world be as it is.

Just allow your body to continue its functions just fine.

You are not really in control of any of this.

Just leave it all well alone.

And even allowing all the activity of the mind to just be as it is as well.

Don't try to silence the mind.

Don't even try any technique or method to stabilize the mind.

Just leave it alone.

Let it be.

You'll find everything calms itself down naturally,

Or it may not.

Either is fine.

Just be.

Practice a deep sense of acceptance.

You don't need a reason to accept everything that is present.

Recognize that everything that is present has already been accepted.

It is pre-approved by reality itself.

If it wasn't meant to be here,

Then it wouldn't be here.

So everything has already been pre-accepted,

Pre-allowed.

It's just here.

And just join in with this acceptance.

Sinking back into the universe.

Just being.

This energetic unfolding all is well.

And noticing that even the elements of your experience you ordinarily find unpleasant,

Perhaps something in the body or in the outside world or in current situations or circumstances,

Recognize if you cease analyzing anything and instead just allowing everything,

These things are no longer uncomfortable or not preferable.

Everything is fine.

Just add no analysis.

Add no opinion.

Just leave everything alone.

All is well.

Nothing to be done.

Let go.

If you find that you occasionally get lost in the mind back in patterns of analysis,

Just return purely to the present moment.

Just this.

Just recognizing you have the power to disengage from thoughts at any moment.

And the deeper you can accept the now,

The deeper you can surrender into the now,

The less frantic the mind will be.

If all is well,

There is no need for analysis.

And if there is no need for any analysis,

There is no need for any planning,

Then the mind can take a break.

There's nothing to do.

Let everything rest in its stillness.

Let everything give reality back to itself.

Reality,

Including the outside and inside world,

Your mind and your body,

Never asked to be analyzed or even understood.

At some point we decided this needed to happen,

But it never did.

Reality does just fine without the mind.

The body does just fine without the mind.

So just leave everything alone.

Nothing to change,

Nothing to fix,

Nothing to alter,

Nothing is good,

Nothing is bad,

Nothing is right,

Nothing is wrong.

Just relieve yourself of the burden of trying to decide all these things.

And just allow yourself to be this pure,

Open,

Accepting space.

Let go.

Really do it.

In a moment we will be leaving the formal aspect of the meditation.

And notice that as we do so,

The mind can't wait to jump back into its usual habits of analysis and planning,

Trying to change and fix things.

Just see if it's possible to continue to abide just in a slightly more accepting and allowing space.

See if it's possible to move about daily activities.

Even when engaged in speaking with people,

Just apply less analysis to anything.

Less interpretation and less need to control.

Just release all of that and notice how much easier and freer your being becomes.

Thank you for doing this meditation with me today.

Take care,

Be well,

And stay present.
