This is a powerful, pure, and direct pointing that guides you into complete Presence and true inner peace. The pointings in this meditation are gentle but firm; this may be useful if you are finding it challenging to stay present. By incorporating the apparent barriers to peace in the present moment, we find that there can never be a true obstacle to inner peace; everything experienced is experienced in the Now, and therefore all things are present; there are simply no barriers to Now. To begin with, it may not be apparent how this can provide permanent and undisturbable peace after all, we may find unpleasant or uncomfortable experiences in the Now; however, through continued practice, we find that abiding as presence makes one aware of a vast and empty awareness that is ever-accepting and ever-allowing. Transcript

Is there anything between you and the present moment?

What is the barrier between you and now?

Become fully open to the present experience and this barrier is removed.

Just this,

Just here and now and notice any resistance to now,

Any avoidance and that's okay,

Just notice the resistance,

Notice the avoidance and realize that these things are also happening now,

There is no barrier.

Even discomfort,

Even agitation and impatience,

Restlessness,

Boredom,

These are all present experiences.

Elevate your awareness to include even the resistance,

Even the avoidance,

How curious.

The very moment you are aware that there is a barrier to now,

You have become aware of it and it is incorporated into the present.

Everything is now,

So just be here with it,

Open.

Become the present experience,

It is only the mind that is in the way.

Just be the experience,

Immerse in the experience as the experience in its totality,

There is nothing outside of this.

Everything is now,

Anything that is not present now is imagined.

It has to be,

It cannot exist anywhere else other than in imagination.

So switch off imagination and just be and here we are.

Forget all about inner peace,

Forget all about awakening,

Forget all about healing,

Forget even all about presence,

Don't worry about that either,

Just be.

Don't try to relax into the now,

Just be open and aware of the now.

All of those good things will happen naturally as this process unfolds,

But don't try to make them happen.

Inner peace is a by-product of presence,

Healing is a by-product of presence,

Awakening is a by-product of presence,

Don't try to make any of them happen,

Just be and watch.

Observe the thought that says I can't be present now because… What a curious thought,

Observe that in the present and it is transmuted into presence immediately.

Do not validate that thought,

Just incorporate it into the now,

The present experience and all is well.

Nothing is about to happen,

Life is not made of separate events,

It is a singular unfolding moment.

Could your awareness,

Your conscious awareness of being ever not be present?

By the time the next moment arrives,

It's still now,

Therefore there is no next moment.

Awareness must be now,

There is no way around this,

No matter how much the mind objects,

No matter how many theories or concepts there are,

They all arise within the present.

There is no escaping this reality,

So perhaps it's time to accept it,

Just accept.

And observe the thought,

This is too good to be true,

What a curious thought,

What is true is true,

Just be now.

In a moment we will be leaving the formal aspect of this meditation,

But recognize that whether we are meditating or not,

It never ceases to be the present moment.

And continually just check this for yourself.

To begin with there may just be moments throughout the day where,

Just double check is it still now,

And eventually this becomes the entirety of your life experience.

Just the right amount of talking in the right amount of silence. He came in very subtly several times to remind me that I can only be in the now. I cannot have it in the past I cannot have it the future. All I exist in is this very moment. What an excellent meditation!
