Good morning my friend.

My name is Kari.

Sometimes,

For absolutely no reason,

I can wake up in the morning and feel very anxious.

Maybe this is something that you do too.

There's a feeling of dread or heaviness,

A feeling of angst about my day,

For absolutely no reason at all.

I know in my mind that it's probably going to be a good day,

Just like every other day,

But there's a part of my being that feels as if there's something to be afraid of.

This is a meditation.

I normally do in that situation.

So if you're still in bed,

You don't have to make any effort to try and change your body position or sit up in bed or anything like that.

You can just lay in bed still.

Just listen to my voice.

Follow the instructions.

Close your eyes back down and start to become more aware of where you feel that anxiety in your body,

That feeling of dread or fear in your body.

You might feel it in your chest or your abdomen.

Sometimes you can feel a tension in your shoulders or a tightness in your throat.

Breathe into that space.

Pull your breath into those places in your body that you feel the anxiety,

As if you're bringing some daylight,

Some love,

Some light into that part of your body.

You're starting to change the energy inside of your body by using your breath.

Imagine that you're literally breathing in bright,

Happy sunshine,

Bringing it into your body with your breath.

As you breathe out,

Put all of your attention on exhaling that anxiety.

Release the energy with your breath.

Bringing in the sunshine.

Breathing out any anxiety,

Any fear,

Any of that dread,

Heavy feeling.

Breathe it out.

See if you can visualize in your mind the most beautiful,

Bright yellow color.

Happy days.

Everything that goes along with a sunny day.

That bright,

Light feeling.

Birds singing,

Children laughing,

Dogs running and playing in the park.

Think about the faces of the people that you love in your life.

The people that make you happy.

Let that energy start to come in,

Mixed in with the bright yellow of the sunshine.

Pull it all in.

And breathe out.

That unnecessary anxiety.

The fake anxiety,

Right?

Because it has no reason to be there.

Take a deep breath in.

Breathe in that sunshine and think about how comfortable your bed feels.

How lucky you are to be safe in your home.

Warm,

Protected,

Sheltered.

How blessed you are to maybe be able to get up and go do something positive with your day.

To be able to move around.

Maybe you have a car and you can go drive where you need to go.

Maybe you have lots of clothes in your cupboard to choose from.

What are all the pluses that you have in your life?

All of the blessings that you have in your life.

Keep bringing in the bright yellow sun.

Warming,

Creating a glow in your body.

A happiness glow in your body.

Keep breathing out any heaviness.

Open your eyes and look around your space.

All of the many blessings that you have around you.

Sit up in your bed and feel your body.

Your ability to move.

And the freedom that comes with it.

Your ability to move.

And the freedom that comes with all of those choices.

Banishing the unnecessary anxiety.

There is no need to entertain it because life is good.

My life is rich and full of endless possibilities.

Today is going to be a good day.

And so it is.

Namaste my friend.

Have a wonderful day.

A mini β€˜sedative’ for all those thoughts and feelings of panic and overwhelm. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Thank you for acknowledging that we all have these mornings and that we can brighten and lighten the spirit with a pause for breathing in sunshine and breathing out the heavy β€˜stuff’ for which we have no use. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ©΅

With it being so dark in the morning it seems like anxiety is creeping in so this was the perfect meditation to start my day as I lay here. I’m an early bird however with the darkness, it’s tough to get up and go into another room and have to turn on the lights. Thank you for calming my anxious body. May it serve me well today, Namaste
