Hello,

I'm Kuchira and welcome to the movement practice.

This is the movement meditation and today's class is called how to converse with your body.

I'm going to talk to you about how to move through the practice,

What it's all about,

Why we've come here together today.

And so go ahead and take a comfortable seat while you listen to the words.

Don't let the brain grab onto them.

Remember this is a body practice.

So listen to them,

Let the words flow and dance through you and then release them.

They'll be useful later when you start moving,

But it's the energy of the words that we need,

Not so much the brain work.

So go ahead and sit down.

Let's just take three deep breaths together.

We live in a time and in a world that has lost touch with intuitive wisdom.

Everything is on information steroids.

Our nervous systems and our brains are on overdrive.

They can't keep up with the sheer volume of constant streaming of data.

What it is to be human is rapidly changing.

There's more ways than ever to connect yet everything feels more disconnected.

The isolation of technology has taken its toll and the lack of human to human contact is becoming the new normal.

We need balance and maybe that's why we have found ourselves here.

Welcome.

Today,

I'll guide you through a movement meditation.

This is a practice that I've cultivated ever since I was five years old.

I've been doing this just naturally,

Intuitively,

And I branded it movement as in you're meant to move because,

Oh,

We so are and we so need it.

The static body gets stuck and that stuckness becomes disease,

Which then send our bodies into catastrophic annihilation and that's not how we want to be living.

So in this practice,

We're going to use our innate wisdom,

That wisdom that the human body holds and its organic need to move in order to purge what is no longer needed,

To process what is still on course,

To learn the language of the body through its rhythms and sensations,

Vocalizations,

And movements,

And to emote and set free that spirit,

Oh,

That spirit that wants to be heard,

Felt,

Loved,

And acknowledged.

This is what we're here to do and it's so exciting.

You can do it by just becoming aware of that inner landscape and reconnecting to your physical form,

And that formless energy that makes you so beautifully you.

Now,

If this is your first movement session with me,

I'll explain briefly what we've come here to do,

Or as I prefer to say,

Undo,

Decondition,

Reset the settings back to true nature.

We've come together to get out of our minds and into our wise bodies.

Remember that intuitive wisdom?

We move in awareness,

Listening to our body's talk,

Let it speak to you.

In this practice,

We use sound,

Not words,

Words are of the mind,

But the body's sound is that inner vibration.

We use movements,

Free movements,

However the body wishes to move without you controlling its every little thing,

Letting it move just to move,

Just to move.

And then the breath,

Same,

Allowing the breath to breathe as it needs,

As it wants,

Celebrating life force.

I mean,

Welcome to a new day,

That's a gift.

We do that by honoring,

However the body wishes to speak without forcing or controlling,

Or even making sense of,

It doesn't need you to be involved.

It just needs you to be the vessel.

So think of it as how a small child or a baby communicates before it learns words or rules or is conditioned,

Right?

It's a constant flow of being.

They feel and then without hesitation or doubt,

They emote through and with the body.

It's beautiful.

It's our first language and you know it instinctively and innately.

So once you allow the brain to get out of the way and those monkey mind thoughts,

You'll find that actually this practice is extremely natural and that you can trust it and that it feels really good.

So that's all the instruction we need for now.

The rest will organically come to you.

And as I loosely guide you into this movement meditation,

Don't worry too much about my words or what I'm saying.

Feel them and use them as you need them or discard what doesn't resonate.

And once you're flowing,

Oh man,

Just dance,

Go,

Go,

Go,

Enjoy your journey.

I ask that you stay aware.

You stay open to what arises and also what is released.

Let it go like the wind.

The body is wise.

Let it do its thing.

Your job here today is just to simply be and honor whatever it is.

So go ahead and start walking around your space.

Take a moment to just simply do that.

And that place is probably in your brain first and foremost.

So to get that out,

Just how about a big,

Huh?

Yeah.

A flicker of the arm as you hook up into the sky,

Maybe a wolf's howl.

Just go for it.

And yes,

I'm introducing you to the strangest and weirdest part of this practice first,

Because I figure if you're still with me,

You're willing to go to places that your mind probably won't let you.

And that's exactly what this practice is for,

To free yourself from yourself.

I'm going to leave you with a little bit more music and you're just going to howl around and see if the sounds can match the movements and if your movements can match the sounds.

Hmm.

What does that even mean?

I don't know.

Let's play.

Hmm.

Let that breath just keep floating,

Dancing through.

Ooh.

If little sounds need to come out or little movements need to happen,

We always allow space for whatever needs to be,

To be right.

This is an ever changing practice,

Just like life is ever changing.

It's never actually still until you die.

So even if it feels like it's stuck,

It's not.

There's always somewhere to start.

There's always a new movement or new breath or a new sound to inspire the next one and the next one and the next one.

And so that's going to be our next segment.

Let one movement lead to the next.

Let one breath lead to the next.

Let one sound lead to the next.

Ooh,

Do a wiggle,

Get out all the residual energy.

I always wiggle with sound because I want to make sure that I'm getting the vibration through the outer body and the inner body.

Ooh.

So I want to use.

.

.

Where is it asking for a little bit more opening?

Hmm.

Maybe it's in the heart space.

Ah.

And maybe it's just opening your jaw or.

.

.

Ah.

Slower,

Smoother breath.

Or maybe what's arising for you is where is it asking to be heard?

To be taken a little bit more seriously and not just thrown away or numbed or disregarded.

And the body responds to touch.

When you touch,

It knows that you're listening.

Responds to a hug.

Hmm.

It responds to tenderness and care.

You can give yourself that.

Let me let it know that I am here for it and I'm grateful that it is here for me.

So remember that the language of the movement practice,

Sensation,

Sound,

Vocalization,

And that energy.

So you can use little movements or maybe they come out big.

Ah.

But don't let your brain get involved.

Don't let it judge what you're doing.

Keep going.

You're doing fantastic.

We'll take a little time here with some music to come into those spaces that are calling for you.

And you'll know exactly what to give them.

And so we'll use that as our visual.

As you continue to move free and organic,

Imagine that there's mirrors all around you,

Above you,

Underneath you.

And as you move,

Watch yourself.

And I use those words incredibly literally.

Watch the self.

Not the persona,

Not the masks,

Not even the superficial body.

Watch the spirit,

That formless energy.

It might appear in a whole different way than the way you perceive it when you're in the personified,

Identified self.

So really remove all the boundaries and all the constructs and all the conditioning.

And just watch your beautiful spirit dance.

And I hope that you'll continue this practice.

I hope that this has inspired you to move through your inner world and explore it outwardly through all your artistic creative expression.

Expanding our awareness,

Stepping boldly and confidently into our truth,

And living life big,

Bold,

Courageously,

And joyfully.

One love warrior.
