The Way Of Meditation - Walking Meditation
Meditation is perhaps the most powerful tool there is when it comes to calling forth the peace, love, joy, harmony, abundance, and wholeness that is inherent within each of us. As such, I have been guided to create this The way of Meditation Series. Each ”session” will begin with brief teaching around meditation followed by a meditation sitting. I invite you to join me for a beautiful, healing, soothing and empowering moment of becoming still through meditation. Namaste, Daniel

Blessings and welcome to the way of meditation.
My name is Daniel Roquejo and I'm always deeply,
Deeply grateful that you have tuned in.
Whenever you're tuning,
Wherever you're tuning from,
I'm very grateful that you're here,
That you're choosing to spend time with me,
That you're choosing to join me in a moment of becoming still,
Of coming back to the nowness of this moment.
But before we move into the meditation,
I just want to take a moment and talk a little bit about another way of meditation,
Or another way of meditating,
Actually.
And what I'm referring to is walking meditation,
Because we've established before that meditation is about being fully present in the nowness of this moment.
That's what meditation is,
And we can do it formally,
We can do it sitting in a chair or on a cushion,
We can do it lying on a bed,
We can do it standing,
We can do it walking,
We can do it in every which way we feel inspired and empowered to do,
As meditation is about coming back to the nowness of this moment.
And if you've joined me before,
You know by now that I use the breath to come back to the nowness of this moment.
But we can use whatever we feel inspired and empowered to use,
As long as we seek to anchor ourselves in that which is now.
And so walking meditation is a beautiful complement,
A beautiful way to augment our meditation practice.
And I use walking meditations from time to time,
And especially when I'm feeling too tired to sit in meditation.
What a sense that if I sit down,
I'm going to fall asleep,
So then I take a walk instead.
And I go through all the steps,
That is,
I tap the first eye,
The divine eye,
I smile,
I set my intentions to wake up to who I am and to forever love for greater and greater expressions of that who and what to emerge.
And then I turn my attention to my breath most of the time.
I tend to enjoy being present with my body breathing.
It gives me a sense of peace.
But we don't have to use the breath as you're walking or as we are walking.
We can turn our attention to perhaps the grass or the rocks or pebbles or the sand or the forest or any sound,
Anything that we see,
Anything that we hear,
As long as we are present with it,
Which means that we are not to intellectually engage in whatever it is that we are turning our attention to.
We simply to observe it.
And so what I would invite,
If you choose to go on a walking meditation,
Is to refrain from moving around where there's people.
People and pretty much anything that has to do with humans has a tendency to sort of trigger thoughts in our minds.
And so if you're walking someplace where there's a lot of signs or perhaps commercials playing or humans talking,
That's going to make the being fully present all that much more difficult or all that much more challenging,
I should say,
I want to say.
So taking a walk in the woods,
On a field,
On the beach,
On a not too crowded beach or any place else where you are mostly by yourself and where there is mostly no other human beings.
It's a beautiful practice.
It's a beautiful practice.
So,
Yeah,
I think that was it for now where walking meditation is concerned.
But for me,
As always doing these ways of meditation,
This is a sitting meditation,
A still meditation.
And so what I would invite you to do is to make yourself comfortable.
I would invite you to put a smile on your face,
Once again to send the signal to your body that it can relax and that it can begin to produce these tonic and healing chemicals.
I would invite you to begin to tap that first eye,
That spiritual eye,
The divine eye,
To make you open and available to catch that which cannot be caught with your human senses.
And while we tap,
I invite us to set an intention for this meditation and my intentions are always to wake up to who and what I am and to forever allow for greater and greater expressions of that who and what to emerge.
So we can keep the tapping,
We can stay with the tapping for a little bit longer.
Let's release it.
And I invite you to place your hands in your lap,
Palms facing upward,
Thumb and middle finger touching as a sign of further or increased receptivity.
And I invite you to turn your attention toward the breath,
Realizing that the body is fully able and capable of breathing.
So we need not engage in the breathing,
We need not make the breathing happen,
But we can simply observe it as it happens,
Surrender to it.
And also invite us to be aware that the breath,
The full breath,
Is made up of four stages.
The in-breath,
The space in between in and out-breath,
The out-breath,
The space in between out-breath and in-breath,
Which is slightly longer than the first space.
And so we want to seek to keep our attention on this full breath throughout this circle or spiral throughout these four stages.
And I invite you to take on the feeling tone that all is well and give the peace that follows,
Permission to move you deep,
Deep,
Deep into the stillness and into the silence.
Should your attention drift away from the breathing,
I invite you to lovingly and gently turn it back to the breath and begin again.
.
Take it back to the breath and begin again.
.
.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
.
.
.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
And as I in a brief moment move us into prayer,
I invite you to remain with your eyes closed,
Your mind open,
Available,
Receptive to catch the vibration of this prayer,
Giving permission to move you into an even higher frequency,
Into an even more expanded consciousness.
And so,
How grateful I am,
How deeply grateful I am for the practice of meditation,
How deeply grateful I am for the opportunity that we have to meditate,
That we get to meditate.
That we have the space and the place to move into meditation.
And how grateful I am for the peace that is here in this moment,
The peace that we are,
The love that is in this moment,
The love that we are,
The joy that is in this moment that we are,
The abundance that is in this moment that we are,
The wholeness and harmony that is in this moment that we are,
The beauty that is here.
And from this space of gratitude,
I know and I feel the allness and the goodness and the eternality of Spirit.
I know and I feel that God is all there is.
There's nothing but God,
Omnipresent,
Eternal,
Infinite,
Omniscient,
Omnipotent.
All these are futile descriptions of the undescribable presence of love,
Presence of peace,
Presence of harmony,
Presence of abundance,
Presence of freedom,
Presence of expansion,
Presence of bliss.
And as I recognize the allness of good,
Allness of good and allness of God,
I realize that right where we are,
Right where you are,
Right where I am,
There is only good,
There is only God.
That we are unique and perfect expressions of the good of God,
Of that which God is.
That we are Spirit expressing itself in us and through us in such a beautiful,
Powerful,
Magnificent way.
Which means that right where we are,
Everything that we need to keep moving forward,
To keep moving upward,
To keep moving onward,
We have.
It's been given to us.
It was given to us from the beginning of time.
We've always had it.
We will always have everything that we need.
And as we are now raising our vibration and as we are now expanding our consciousness,
Beautiful demonstrations will follow.
Magnificent manifestations will follow.
Because consciousness always precedes form.
And as we are now moving into vibrational alignment with the good that we desire,
That good by law must and will flow into our experience.
Oh,
How I love,
How I love this path of freedom,
How I love this path of awakening,
And how I love to share it with you.
How grateful I am for your willingness to share it with me.
For you,
Having said yes at one point,
Having said yes to awaken,
Having said yes to release yourself from the small and the limited,
From the world of appearances,
From the world of effects,
Moving to the eternal,
Into the infinite,
Into the realm of infinite possibilities.
Something truly wonderful is happening right now in this moment,
Right where you are.
Everything is working for the highest good.
Everything is working for your good.
I know it and I feel it.
Healing right in this moment is happening.
Abundance right in this moment is happening.
Peace right in this moment is happening.
Joy is happening right now.
Love is happening right now.
Hm.
Harmony and wholeness is,
Is,
Is,
Is right where you are.
I know it,
I feel it,
I accept it,
I give thanks for it,
I allow it to be.
So be it,
So shall it be.
So it is Amen,
Amin,
Ashe,
Aho,
Hotep,
Shalom,
Salaam,
Hallelujah.
Thank you.
