Welcome to this five-minute guided relaxation meditation.

Start by finding a comfortable seated position or lie down if you prefer.

Close your eyes and allow your body to settle into stillness.

This is your time to unwind,

To relax and to come back to yourself.

Let go of any concerns or distractions and simply be present in this moment.

So let's begin by taking a deep breath in through the nose and a slow gentle breath out through your mouth.

As you breathe in feel the cool air entering your lungs filling your body with calm energy.

As you breathe out imagine all the tension and stress leaving your body.

Repeat this once more.

Inhale deeply and exhale fully letting go of anything weighing you down.

Now bring your awareness to the top of your head.

Imagine a warm soothing wave of relaxation flowing gently over your scalp easing away any tightness.

Feel this wave move down to your forehead softening your eyebrows relaxing the muscles around your eyes.

With each breath allow the relaxation to flow downward.

Notice your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Your chin and let your mouth and tongue soften as you release any tension.

Allow your neck and shoulders to relax completely feeling them grow heavier with relaxation.

Now take a deep breath in and as you exhale feel your arms relax all the way down to your hands and fingertips.

Let go of any tightness you might be holding in your chest feeling your heart open and your breath flow more freely.

With each exhale feel your stomach relax,

Your hips soften and any tension in your back melt away.

Let this wave of relaxation travel down your legs into your knees,

Your calves and finally down to your feet.

Feel the heaviness of your body being supported by the ground beneath you.

Now take a moment to simply be here present in this relaxed state.

Notice how your body feels lighter,

Your mind quieter.

Allow yourself to rest in this calm space for a few more moments and any thoughts that may arise just come back to your breathing and allow these thoughts to float through the mind like simple clouds in the sky.

When you're ready begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes gently awakening your body.

Feeling your body now we're going to take one minute to sit in this relaxation and bliss.

Slowly when you feel ready begin to open your eyes.

Take this sense of calm and relaxation with you into the rest of your day.

I wish you a safe,

Beautiful and blessed day.

I look forward to meditating with you together again tomorrow.
