Welcome to your morning meditation.
This is your time,
A quiet purposeful start to ignite your day with calm energy and intention.
Let's begin by gently arriving in this moment.
Allow your eyes to softly close if that feels safe or lower your gaze.
Let your shoulders drop just a little.
Let your hands rest where they feel comfortable.
Begin to take a few slow steady breaths.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Let's do that again.
Breathing deeply in and slowly letting it go.
Now allow your breath to settle into its own rhythm.
No need to control it,
Just notice it.
Each inhale nourishing you.
Each exhale softening and releasing.
Feel the support beneath you.
Feel the air around you.
You are safe here.
In your mind's eye begin to imagine you're standing at the edge of a peaceful forest just before sunrise.
The world is still,
The air is cool and fresh.
You're completely alone here but not lonely,
Just deeply connected.
As you stand quietly you begin to notice the sky changing.
The soft golden light of the morning begins to pour gently through the trees.
With every breath in you feel that light touching your skin.
Warming your face,
Your heart,
Your whole body.
With every breath out you feel a little more spacious,
A little more clear.
There's no rush,
Just light,
Just stillness.
Just you and this new beginning.
Let this light represent your purpose today.
A quiet steady fire within you,
Lighting your way.
Now ask yourself gently,
What energy do I want to bring into this day?
It could be calm,
Courage,
Focus,
Kindness,
Strength.
Choose one word.
As you breathe,
Let that word land softly in your heart.
Breathe it in and breathe it out.
Feel it moving through your body like sunlight warming the forest floor.
Annie Dillard said,
How we spend our day is,
Of course,
How we spend our lives.
Take this moment,
This breath,
This intention.
It all matters.
You don't need to strive for perfection.
You simply begin here and now with quiet presence and gentle purpose.
Take one more deep breath in and a long steady breath out.
Let your fingers and toes begin to gently wake.
Maybe roll your shoulders or move your neck if that feels good.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Come back into your space and carry this light.
Carry your intention and carrying your day.
Thank you so much for taking this time to begin with presence and purpose with me this morning.
Go gently.
